Sorry, you didn't manage that on your own. The update comes with that bootloader and a new baseband (something with c version)

The question is... What happens if we try the update from htcdev now.

the official RUU 2.3.5 also comes with hboot 1.08.0000 but does not overwrite 1.08.0099.

this update DOES

It worked great for me.
Stock ROM + S-ON & Bootloader Unlocked (kinda useless cause I never changed ROM since...)
I had the USB cable unplugged. Just WiFi.

If you have problem, try to do it with the USB unplugged.

S-OFF only with the way you did before: XTC-Clip.
But if u did it with XTC clip, normally a update of the bootloader does not change the secuflag (S-OFF or S-ON). Maybe the new radio changed this.

Then u are "only" unlocked Bootloader
In this context, only get the identifier token again and flash the unlock_code again, and you are unlocked again (so many agains )

But normally, they have changed the hboot number, bc they wont to overwrite the unlocked or locked flag

I didn't check before but mine went back locked too. With the previous HBOOT.

MARVEL PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-1.08.0000
MICROP-0451
RADIO-7.54.39.28M

Is the radio updated ? I didn't check the number of the previous version.

@tsalta : Don't confuse "S-OFF" and "Bootloader unlocked". With HTC Dev, you just unlocked the bootloader, your phone was still S-ON.

you can not re-unlock your bootloader again

PEOPLE WITH UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER DO NOT UPDATE

THE UPDATE WILL CHANGE YOUR SOFTWARE VERSION AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO INSTALL THE HBOOT NEEDED TO UNLOCK YOUR BOOTLOADER

I ALSO BRICKED MY DEVICE FOR I AM IN A BOOTLOOP NOW

Well that saves me from wondering if missing out on this update is worth it. Seeing as I want to carry on using my phone I think I'm gonna let this one slide! Cheers buddy.

Not that it matters to me now but does anyone know what this update actually does apart from relock bootloaders/or reapply s-on?
