I did a thread search and didn't see an answer although it seems like it must have been asked before... my apologies if so..

Why can't I enable/disable gps if you can enable/disable wifi, bluetooth, mobile data, etc? Am I missing something super obvious?

thanks

Re: [APP 2.3+][V3.0.1] BETA! | utter! | Your OFFLINE voice controlled personal assist
Ben, is it possible for someone who has downloaded the offline speech files to post them so they can be side loaded so we test it on devices that can't download them officially? Just a thought and I have no ides if its possible.

"Sorry but didn't hear anything"
I can't seem to get it to work. I've followed the instructions. Utter listens but keeps saying "sorry but I didn't hear anything"
What am I doing wrong?
I'm using Utter on a Galaxy S3 with stock ROM (version 4.2.1) latest version of Google search and the Ivona TTS engine.

Are you holding the device when you ask questions? There's an issue when laying flat on a surface where the vibration is causing this problem.
You can also make sure you have the latest version of Google Voice Search.... Something like 2.4.1 installed and try again. You may have to reboot and then enable "visual results" in utter and make sure it's hearing your commands.

GPS is is like a system file and cannot be triggered simply by voice unless you use something like tasker and secure settings.

I have created a poll for the most sought after features. I haven't included many options by default, so please post your requests on that thread and I'll add them to the poll.

It is only to gather information and is independent of Ben's work!

If Ben agrees it is a good idea perhaps he can add a link in the OP.

NICE, NICE, NICE. GREAT IDEA!
Agreed this is a good idea. I would think that Ben has a pretty good sized list and can maybe transfer that data to say a Google Doc or something where it can be viewed by everyone. The thread is fine, we just need something that will allow quick viewing, otherwise we'll get a lot of duplication because not every user is going to read every thread to check for "their" feature request.

i.e.-so as an example we should have...
1. Calendar-speak input fields and populate per user
2. Alarms-ability to set alarms in the future
a. Ability to say "set alarm for 830a.m." instead of saying minutes and hours
3. ?????

The more we can pin down the requests, the less time we have to spend detailing our needs and wants.

This is just a thought based on your Great Idea!!! Anyone that wishes to throw some ideas around on this, that's why we're all here!

Can utter! be made to use the Google Voice texting app instead of the native messaging app? I don't want to send out text from my SIM card phone number.

I have had to delete the poll - I will try to implement it a different way. Unfortunately on XDA you cannot add additional items once it is posted which renders it useless!
