This thing should have been discovered at earlier, so I didn't need to use the HTC dev method which voids warranty

On another note, in experience, forumers had mixed results when claiming warranty with a RELOCKED device.

Some can, some can't, while depending on the service center, and some depending on the personnel, and some based on the severity, like damaged screen, or CPU, whether external or internal

Many factors play a part in claiming warranty

hehe - to unlock with htcdev you are ticking the boxes that say you accept that you will void warranty

claiming warranty when locked/relocked probably all depends on which person picks up the case at that time - also their mood.

I know if I am in a bad mood it affects how helpful I want to be or not...

and you can probably get s-on again if you get a downgrader and then run the RUU as it will update the hboot with s-on (or you could in the desire anyway)

you can do s-on by

This is quite simple and takes a few minutes!

1: Download RUU.exe (a tip of the country, EU, WWE, SD .........) your orginal ruu
chang your cid back to orginal
2: Install ruu from PC
3: Restart the bootloader and the power button is switched to Fastboot
4: write through sdk command
if you have custom ruu or ruu not orginal (not match orginal ruu ) and if your cid changed and not match your orginal please dont applay this command you will breack your phone

fastboot oem writesecureflag 3
fastboot reboot-bootloader

The phone is in the factory settings with the S-ON and locked

note : it can be briack your phone if don with error
see another theard for more information
