I was able to remove part of it. Try this,

in values/bools.xml, change "config_status_bar_scrim_behind_use_src">true</bool> to false
change showdividerswhengroupnotification, showgroupnotificationBgwhenexpanded, and shownotificationExpandbuttonatEnd to true.

In layout folder edit super_status_bar.xml

Just after android:Id="@id/scrim_behind" add android:visibility="invisible"

Also, add android:background="#00000000" in first line after android:fitsystemWindows="true",
and on line 5 just after android:Id="@id/backdrop_back", and on line 9 just behind android:Id="@id/status_bar_container"

I'm not sure if all is necessary but I'd do it anyway. Worked on my Pixels but editing a custom rom does not always give you expected results.

oh dear

I saw your post but i fail, I can't confirm where I made mistakes.................
https://forum.xda-developers.com/and...creen-t3819931

I can decompile and recompile the SystemUI.apk without error but bootloop.
I tried to decompile and recompile the SystemUI.apk without modification, bootloop again.

I used APKTool / APK Easy Tool
the following is my steps (APKTool)

1) using root explorer (mixplorer) to copy [/system/priv-app/SystemUI/SystemUI.apk](Phone) and [system/framework/framework-res.apk](Phone) to PC
2) CMD >
apktool
apktool if framework-res.apk
apktool if systemui.apk
apktool d systemui.apk
apktool b systemui.apk
(without any modification)
(no error message)

3) copy the [META-INF] Folder and [AndroidManifest.xml] from the "Original SystemUI.apk" using 7zip to [systemui/build/apk/](PC)

4) CMD >
apktool b systemui.apk

5) using root explorer (Mixplorer) to copy the modified [Systemui.apk] from [systemui\dist\](PC) to [/system/priv-app/SystemUI/](Phone)

6) reboot phone > bootloop

So, now, I am looking for another method
Actually I almost give up

First of all, you should be using ticklemyandroid.

You got some of that backwards. You copy to original apk, not from original to modded and even then, just what you changed ( resources.arsc and super_status_bar.xml)

No need to install systemui.apk, just frameworks.

I always use a vrthemer.

the following is my new steps
1) using root explorer (mixplorer) to copy [/system/priv-app/SystemUI/SystemUI.apk](Phone) and [system/framework/framework-res.apk](Phone) to PC
2) CMD >
apktool
apktool if framework-res.apk
apktool d systemui.apk
apktool b systemui.apk
(without any modification)
(no error message)

3) copy the resources.arsc (new systemui.apk\) and super_status_bar.xml (new systemui.apk\res\layout\) to original systemui.apk.

4) using root explorer (Mixplorer) to copy the modified original [Systemui.apk] to [/system/priv-app/SystemUI/](Phone)

5) reboot phone

That is my understanding. Like I said, I personally use a vrthemer but that is essentially what it does as well.
