Hi all,

I really need some help.

I unlocked my bootloader, installed android sdk on my PC, put the JB version of TWRP in the same directory and ran the command but its been sitting like this for 15 - 20 mins.

C:\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools>fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash recovery twrp.blob
sending 'recovery' (7384 KB)...

The tablet itself just says

Starting fastboot USB download protocol

What should I do? Is it safe to turn the tablet off and try again?

Thanks

Edit: Solved by holding down power button, going back into usb mode changing to a different usb port and running command again.

Unhappy Any ideas?
Hey guys, first off thanks in advance for whatever help you can give me on this odd issue.

I ordered a TF300T refurbished from newegg because of the sweet price and knowing that it was good hardware. I have owned a few android phones/tablets and have always gotten them rooted, custom rom loaded, no issues, that is until now.

Here is what I did since I got it. I updated it to the latest firmware, unlocked using the Asus tool, and flashed a custom recovery CWM and installed the latest cyanogenmod nighly.

Next thing I did is what messed me up bigtime. I read on the forums that TWRP recovery was better because it could handle external sd better or something, so I went to flash the latest TWRP recovery using Goomanager. I prefer TWRP anyway so I figured it would be a good idea. I then wanted to test and make sure recovery was flashed ok before I start messing with cyanogenmod just in case I broke something. So what I did was I held down the power button til the "Reboot to recovery" popped up and I selected that. I rebooted and now I am stuck at the Asus bootloader screen and all it has is "ASUS" and "Device Unlocked" in the upper left. I think that when I flashed the recovery the second time, it didn't go right..

I have read around on XDA and other forums about this and I have tried to reboot back into the ROM so I can reflash the recovery, but the "boot to recovery flag is till on, so I keep getting to that bootloader screen.

Also I read that this can be remedied by using Fastboot to reboot to the rom or reflash my recovery but I tried that and that doesn't work either.... Windows will see it as fastboot when I hit the reset hole button while holding the vol up button so I know I can get to fastboot...

Whenever I go to use a fastboot command it says "Waiting for device"

I have tried Asus's drivers and the "Naked adb/fastboot ones" on Windows 8 64, Windows 7 64, Windows XP, and now Ubuntu 32bit and they all show up with "Waiting for device" I also tried forcing the vendor id and that did the same thing.

Am I f***ed?

what does the tablet say when you are choosing fastboot?

You have to choose the USB icon with Vol- and then confirm wit Vol+, when you start your tablet with Vol- and Power at the same time
And on the TWRP thread it says, dont flash TWRP via Goo, cause there is only the ICS TWRP and not the JB.

If fastboot is working try this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...45&postcount=6

If fastboot is not working

DL the adb pusher
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1599332

dl the latest JB TWRP
http://techerrata.com/file/twrp2/tf3...tf300t-JB.blob

connect your Tab with PC
open ADB pusher
if it shows a connected device
choose destination sdcard
drag and ddrop the twrp.blob(rename it to this 1st) into the drag and drop space
hit send
wait till it says file send succesful
open adb shell
type
su

then type
dd if=/sdcard/twrp.blob of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p4

Then rebbot your tablet

If it's just a problem with your fastboot, use this guide : [GUIDE] Help for flash more faster when you use Fastboot Line Command
It's really simple

I wish it was noobishness that was the issue lol Thanks guys. Also I apologize for posting this in a few threads, so if you run into this post again don't worry about it. Someone pointed out my mistake and I guess I missed the part where TWRP says not to use GooManager because of an ICS/JB version mismatch.

Also, I forgot to mention that I can't get to fastboot the conventional way via the power and volume keys, because it wants to boot immediately from the recovery (that I flashed wrong) so it never gives me the icons to choose. The only way I can get to fastboot is with the reset button hole and volume up at the same time. I am thinking this is why fastboot wont work correctly is that it is not selcted from that menu, but I can't get to the menu because of the boot to recovery flag. I am going to call Asus and see what they can tell me to do, or maybe have it sent in. I have unlocked it so I will ask if I can just pay to send it in a reset it or what.

Thanks guys but I think I messed myself up pretty good on this one.
