Hello all. Thanks in advance for your help. My HD2 is running stock Windows Mobile Professional 6.5, and I have been using Google Maps 4.1.0 since 12/26/2010, with no problems.
Yesterday, I opened the Google Maps application on my HD2. The map itself came up as normal, but the accompanying text (for example, it would normally be showing "Loading....") shows only as gibberish -- several rectangular boxes and other characters that appear to be Unicode type characters. If I touch "Menu" on the screen, and then press "Get Directons", the normal "Start Point" and "End Point" text shows, but the rest of the search dialog boxes are again gibberish characters, as are the option tabs that are normally part of the search function.
Any ideas as to what the problem(s) might be? I thought I would seek help before my next step, which would be to uninstall and reinstall the application. Thanks!
