Smile [ROM] Unofficial AOKP JB Beta 9th Oct.... Milestone 6 being rethinked
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
* Your warranty is now void.
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you :p
* Also no eta's as am not a dev and solving bugs will be hard for me and this is done for fun....Thanks to
Steve kondik for his nice sense of comedy :)

First off sorry for the confusion guys and the addition in mess in the dev section
but some of you have request I do this so here we go
The revolution has arrived.
I present to you AOKP JB spit out straight from source - this means I can always provide the
latest updates from team kang when am free to compile
P.s If some settings aren't there then they haven't been added by team kang yet they're still porting
stuff from ics like CM and others

Firstly Massive thanks to Quarx for his guidance and helping me to finally can this to boot

I have done all this without a bit of programming knowledge just long hours searching the web,
using my brain ,

comparing files etc to present this to you..... So take it easy with the bug reports and stuff .....
really please do i will need your help not only reporting them but fixing them also am no a dev
afterall we are in the same shoes .... This is the reason XDA is here!! Getting help from the community

Also again plz no eta's the rom comes when it does
Am not trying to be rude here but I have college work and a life outside
this like many devs and everyone else. So I will work when I have time
there is no schedule for me to work so obviously
I can't give an eta.

Sorry to the people that read first and Thank you for your support ^_^

Credit and Thanks :
Quarx - huge thanks on guiding me on how to properly merge stuff, answering my questions and getting this to boot
The CM team for their awesome work
Team Kang for their rom and work
PottKopp for being awesome friend, tester and support
Brajesh.sharma87 for making me not give up and supporting my knowledge and kind words

To xda for allowing me to do this and gaining so much knowledge

If you use my work as your base rom please give some credit to me
for my hours on working on this - I mean I don't even have the defy anymore
and to people above for making the roms and providing the source code in the
Spirit of android.

If coming from CM10 you can try install this like you're updating a nightly
cache and dalvik wipe..... If you have problems then backup and full wipe.

Installation for noobs

1.Boot into recovery
2. Nandroid backup incase you don't like it or something explodes
3. Full wipe data and cache
4. Wipe dalvik cache
5. Flash rom
6. Flash Gapps optional(includes minimal gapps if you like that better)
7. Install battery fix(Red lense using Defy+ build) -
8. Wipe cache and Dalvik for safe measure
9. Reboot and Enjoy ^_^

Unofficial AOKP - ICS Milestone 6 20 Feb 2013

After a days of work I finally was able to get AOKP ICS working with some tweaks
I have made some changes to the MIlestone 6 release

- Romcontrol has been cleanup a bit I have removed the old performance control app in favour of the newer one found in JB

- Updated some of the icons from JB (device options, rom control, performance control and themes)

- Updated nova launcher, added in CM filemanager

- Added some stuff to the kernel ( frandom module, fake vsync, rgnd) more details here

- More stuff who knows just look at my github can't remember now

- Should be the same as Eppy's 2ndboot ics

- If you find any I will try fix what I can just hit me up with a logcat...... Tutorial here

Installation -

Coming from a JB rom

- First you need to either convert to ext3 through the bootmenu--->Tools--->File system or wipe all from the stock recovery

- Once you have done that install the zip as normal and flash gapps if needed.....

Everyone else

- Wipe all (data, cache and dalvik cache)
- Install rom zip and gapps if needed

Reboot and enjoy ^_^

Download from here

Download V2

Download as zip then unzip the download look through the folders and you will find a file named

Congrats you found the rom ..... Happy flashing

Mirror -

Thanks to UncleDan as usual

Credit and Thanks

Ryuinfern - for his init.d frandom script

Epsylon3 for his device tree which am using as a base and also for his work on some framework stuff and also for his work on the ics kernel

Nadlabak, Quarx and Blechdose for the kernel stuff I used

Without these Guys this will not be possible so a big THANK YOU to them again.....

- It's a hybrid build meaning use can use either 2ndinit mode = stock kernel or 2ndboot mode = custom kernel
This all thanks to Epsylon3

You won't get the options like KSM etc as AOKP's settings and performance control don't include it but am looking at a way of porting it ..... look out in the future for an update

- Default boot is 2ndinit and can be changed to 2ndboot which will allow BL7 green users to use the their camera again if am not mistaken

Some more details... There's no "Go To Sleep" toggle or shortcut of any kind and the "Torch" toggle needs to start the whole camera module to make the LED shine :/

A little things i notice.
_ process rom control is consuming more battery that it should be. I meant, does this process keep in memory doing who knows? May be i ignore that must b be this way.
_ aokp wallpapers don't keep centered. I think the app could be maded for other resolution.
_ navigation bar isn't working.

And one cool thing, is possible to use an image for background of notification area!
