[ROM][29 Oct][XXALJ3] ★Battery Plus 240 DPI ★ 0.2v patch 1 Undervolted CPU/GPU 354MB!

Battery Plus 240 DPI Rom

I have been running my own 240 DPI rom for a few days now. I thought I best share this as the Note II looks great in 240 DPI vs 320 DPI icons and text are so big you think the phone made for oldies!

Battery Plus, is a cut down lite rom. No bloatware. Focused on three things.
Good speed, better than stock battery life with 240 DPI goodness!

Features:

  • XXALJ3 Base
  • 15 toggles
  • 4 way reboot (Recovery, download or reboot)
  • Undervolted GPU/CPU (Mild undervolt to help improve batter life without loosing stability)
  • GPU set to scale from 108 to 533 Mhz
  • init.d support
  • Fixed 240 DPI camera app
  • Fixed 240 DPI touchwiz (Does not support Spen short cutsor Page buddy for now, recommended using Nova or Apex launchers as they suit 240 DPI better)
  • Ram tweaks
  • Speed tweaks
  • Spen supported
  • Over 1.2 GB ram on Boot free.
  • Spen speed up (Draws faster)
  • Network tweaks for max speed
  • Perseus kernel

Battery Plus 0.2v changelog

  • Custom Boot animation
  • CPU undervolted. Not too agressive to insure it will work on all Exynos4s
  • GPU accelerated video
  • Mali 400 GPU overclock + undervolting fixed and working as it should.
  • Battery logo now shown as a percent
  • More free ram on boot.
  • Better battery life.
  • New lower size Nexus boot animation. (Anyone wanna make the rom a nice boot animation??)

New Patch 1 (46.8 Mb).

  • Adds Samsung Text to Speech (English only US/UK)
  • Adds FM radio app (Its so small it shouldn't have been removed sorry)
  • Zipalign on each boot now to help reduce Ram usage and improve battery life
  • GPU set to 533 max, 640 Mhz seems to have little improvement and not worth it.
  • Undervolt tweaks.

Working fine but not fitting the screen correctly:

  • Tw Dialer
  • Tw Calculator

How to install:

Install via CWM, Do a full wipe and format after.
First boot takes 2 minutes. Please be patient.
Recommend, use CWM and delete battery stats. The full charge to get the expected battery increases.

Downloading.
I am waiting for 240 DPI ROM. And here we are!!!!

Btw, if I upgrade the Perseus kernel, is the UV GPU still working?

Can post screenshot how phone/dialer looks like?

Will do, its not the best exDialer might be better suited to those that want it to fix perfectly. I need help to edit the stock dialer to fit 240 DPI

Yes it should be fine, as the undervolt is not within the kernel itself. But run via script on start up.

By the way if anyone likes the rom and wants to make me a proper bootloader please send one to me :) Something basic would be fine. Less MB too

I love your work. After using for 5 hours, here is my review:
1. Camera works very good, like original 320 DPI. Only few things still missplaced few pixels (like zoom slider and gallery icon).
2. Screen is darker than official (in auto brightness). I think it will save battery more.
3. Speed and responsiveness, I feel no different with HyperNote I used before.
4. Battery, I can not report now as we need few charge cycle I think. Maybe the same as HyperNote.
5. Processor overclock and undervoltage runs fine.
6. GPU overclock, I do not feel as my benchmark is around the same with non overclock (with Perseus kernel too).
7. Dialer and Calculator icons are misplaced, but I use 3rd party apps (eX Dialer and RealCalc).
8. MultiWindows Bar still ugly. It does not fit the screen. Need more work here as this thing is plus point for Note II.
9. Talk does not installed. I use .zip from HyperNote and works fine (text only, no voice or video call).
10. For boot animation, I think black and simple idea of HyperNote is very good. Small and replaceable.
11. And if possible, theme icons will be perfect. I love numbered battery icon.

Btw, how can I see that overclock for GPU is working? Any apps to read that?

Thanks for the feedback, I have checked and the GPU undervolt and overclock is not working for some reason. It was on my earlier builds. I will fix this soon. CPU undervolt is working however.

I will look at a boot new animation too for the next release and a themed battery icon with %

Nice Rom!

May I request you to post the camera app itself? or can someone backup the file and upload? I seems to damage mine...

Does 240DPI considered by Android as a tablet or a smartphone?
    Thanks :)
