ROM is based on Latest OEM
OS version: 7.10.8862.
Languages: 24 languages.
Loader/File pool: 20MB/15 MB.

Introduction.
This release is in colaboration with all members of xda-devs.

for the .cabs you need to image update the phone (no need to reflash or hardreset)

BACKUP

Before you continue, you may want to make a backup of your device for in case something goes wrong. You can do this with the update tools, but I use a separate tool to have more control over the backup-process. This is what I do to make a backup:

  1. Download CabSender
    It is from xboxmod's WP7 Update Cab Sender thread.
  2. Use Zune 4.8 final (4.8.2345.0).
  3. Setup-UpdateWP 4.8 beta 3 from the archive.
  4. Extract the "Tools" folder from the archive.
  5. Setup the Backup tool to reference Zune.exe and the UpdateWP.exe in the extracted Tools-folder.
  6. Create your backup.
  7. The backup app will allow you to archive any previous backup.
  8. Your phone will restart and go in Download-mode.
  9. When the backup is finished, the app will tell you to disconnect.
    Even though your phone says you still can't disconnect, you can safely disconnect the phone and it will restart.

INSTALL WP7 UPDATE TOOLS
  1. First make sure you have Zune 4.8 final (build 4.8.2345.0)
  2. Download the WP7_update_tool.rar and install the UpdateWP package for your platform (x86 or x64). This is version 4.8.2134.0.
  3. Download the WP7 Update Cab Sender.zip from xboxmod and extract it. This also contains a patched version of UpdateWP.exe which will work with Zune 4.8 final.

INSTALL THE UPDATE PACKAGES
  1. Copy all the CAB files you downloaded to the folder where you extracted xboxmod's WP7 Update Cab Sender. The CAB's should be in the same folder as the BAT-file.
  2. Run the batch-file and press 'S'.
  3. Your device will reboot and start in download-mode.
  4. You'll see progress on the screen of your desktop, but it may take more than 10 minutes before your WP7 device is starting to show a progress-bar, even for small updates. That's normal, because the device is scanning for installed packages and performing merges.
  5. When the update is ready, your device will be rebooted again and it will boot Windows Phone with new version and or custom packages.

Howdy ceesheim, thx for supporting the focus along with the omnia, I have a quick question though since I've been out of the loop for a bit. Does the custom search key (SearchKeySettings) still break voice search in bing or has that been worked out? If it does still break voice search would it be possible to release a version without it?

Also will this have non-stock boot logos or things like that? This almost sounds clean enough to make it so that I won't have to bother releasing a Clean ROM v7.8 ;)

Anyways if you need someone to test on a Focus v1.3 I'd be more than willing to help.

There is a way to get that without too much hassle now. The Straighttalk.xml file is emailed to the phone, then it is copied out of a volatile folder into another folder that either exists already or you have to create. I don't remember where the thread is for this, but google searcj the afroementiones xml file and it will get you to the right place. I can confirm it does work.
There is a possibility, I suppose, that this new rom will have a direct method of entering the MMS information, like the WP8 roms seem to have.

Rom (Focus 1.3) is being uploaded , the link to the Rom Folder is already on the first post

Focus 1.4:

rom is being tested ( but I am waiting on respond if it boots or not, when it boots there still Need to be a few things fixed that will also take a few days)

so for Focus 1.4 owners let us hope it boots, lots of Options I don't have ( I don't have that FFFF phone)
