[KERNEL] Stock I8160 kernel with built-in CWM recovery

  • Stock kernel
  • CWM 5.0.2.6 (backup on external SD card is available)
  • Supports init.d executing during boot (place in /system/etc/init.d/)

Flash via Odin, or using dd command:
Code:
su
dd if=/sdcard/kernel.bin of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p15
reboot
Root can be installed via CWM. Choose the best app for you from below.

I think its fine to flash it that way, though, I prefer dd command via terminal. That's how I upgraded/installed XXLK7 Kernel with CWM from the older Kernel by Antsm...

Why to mod this kernel?
Some people prefer clean and unmodded solutions. We have hafidzduddin modded kernel and antsm unmodded. Why create 2 solutions that in the end will be the same?
Good job antsm!

Good job antsm!

Their kernels won't be the same. Its better to have 2 than 1. More choices, more customization, so everybody can choose what he wants.

Antsm please verify Wipe dalvik-cache option. I think it isn't working.
The wipe dalvik-cache option works if you previously mount /data.

just extract it like a ZIP and change filename to kernel.bin, then you could use dd command
