Note: most of the steps, on these videos, are exactly the same for D2G
just use the appropriated files

Did you SBF, before trying Super one click root? because I don't think it works
I could be wrong, and would be great if I was. It just has not worked on my D2 with 2.3.4/4.5.621

Are you saying you are rooted? I am stuck at the same place you were on the SuperOneClick thread.

---------- Post added at 04:01 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:34 PM ----------

Tomsgt has made a video for magic boot cd method (preferred by most)
How to ezSBF plus Root the Droid 2 on android 2.3.4
or you can try the magic md5, repacked sbf using rsd lite
which Tomsgt has named, How to easy windows SBF plus root the Droid 2, which is misnamed, imo

That method worked great, but it doesn't seem to have recovery installed. Is that done separately? I found that you are supposed to get to recovery by following these instructions but I am still stuck on the triangle:

1. Turn Droid 2 Off

2. Press 'X' on the physical keyboard and then Press and HOLD Power button until the Exclamation Point/Android picture shows(after motorola symbol).

3. To access menu options Press the "Search" button depicted by the Magnifying glass on the Keyboard and the menu items will show up.

4. Browse options with the Volume Up and Volume Down keys and select option with the Camera button all on side.

5. Select first option of "Reboot phone" or risk messing up your brand new Droid 2!
