One review said that the talk-time on the quad was 18 hrs and the 11 hrs for the octa, why such a large discrepancy.

Sure. The reason I am saying this is that Andrei mentioned in his first post that the issue lies in the hatdware implementation itself. So even if the kernel is there to support it, the silicon is still not fully capable to make use of the other two big.little implementations. This news diaappointed me alot but thats the reality.

yes i feel most likes it a hardware related problem like andrei did explain but we cant exclude that it may be a software issue . a new linux kernel i just being released supporting the big.little implementation. we may not get the best scenario but at least we may get the max of this cluster migration scenario . personally i think we arent even using the cluster migration like totally it feels much like we are running most of the times on A15 CPUs that are throttled rat hen using the A7 cpu . i did deduce the following by seeing that when we run on power saver mode which should logically to use the most of the a7 cpus the power consumption isnt really than different of high process tasks as much as the heat .

i may be totally wrong but it really feels this way

@AndreiLux

Very useful information..... Keep it up!!!

Just for information & knowledge, if I increase the IKS frequency in STweaks to 700 kHz , will it have an overall effect in performance and yet not compromising on the overall stability???

Thanks in advance...

I got 6hrs and 32 mins screen time on my exynos, with 14hrs battery time and still has 8% remaining.

Stock rom, rooted and no battery saver apps installed.

Pretty good battery life for me.
