I think the official will support it soon. Even I might build it out, I don't have the phone to test if it work...

Dude, there is a twrp for i9505, I think it might work for i9500 too. Worth a trial!

Good luck!

Does mobile odin work for the i815? Or is the only way to upgrade by regular odiin? Sorry...7.7 newb here. I bought it and it has an old version of twrp on it. I am not used to twrp. I enjoy it so I figured i'd upgrade ...

Mobile Odin works fine in p6800. I think it has a pretty good chance to work for i815. Please confirm and let other i815 owners know.

Good luck!

Hi Daniel, I'm testing twrp:
Downloaded from goo,
Flashed with mobile Odin,
Did a system backup,
Flashed a older cm build (just to change the actual, for testing purpose),
Rebooted in twrp,
Restored the system backup
= they show Samsung splash screen but after is just a black screen, the boot animation don't start.

I rebooted in twrp, flashed the ROM again and all is ok.

Want/can send any logs of this unsuccessful restore to you have a look?

No need to send me anything. I do it all the time.

I don't know if the splash is part of the boot animation but the kernel is running for sure.
A system backup means, system+data+boot, right?
See if you miss any of the partitions.
Usually, it is enough.CWM also include the cache. You may need a wipe d-cache if from different android version.

Good luck!

It is officially supported for I9500. I am using it now.

Search the I9500 original Android development forum......
