Dump boot.img and recovery.img. On the m7 cdma and gsm versions have different mounts. I don't want to brick anyone's device

Ok, sorry for the massive reply, but this thread has been busy while I've been at work.

How have you found the full rom you put on your website, and is it pre rooted?

Would mean that now we can restore our Desire 601 if anything goes wrong to system, deodex, build custom roms....Cool !
ty

It's definitely worth pointing out that the work SPSPaWn has posted is for the zara_ul version of the device. You can check by looking at the hboot/fastboot screen or by using "getprop ro.product.device" in a shell.

Nevermind

I'll try it on my zara_cl once I have an unsecure boot.img for my device.

Also partitions aren't listed correctly you need to be in the block called by-name then types ls -l. It will then link all the partition names to the correct block number, I also need a system dump to start some real source with.

cd to a block similar to this /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/

then type ls -l and copy the output . It should say block name something like SYSTEM -> then it will point to the block SYSTEM -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p14 for example

Did you have luck finding a "by-name" folder? I found the above mentioned msm_sdcc.1 and an msm_sdcc.3 folder but they only had a "by-num" folder in them. I would love to have a proper reference for all those. Also, I don't know if one was already provided or even if you still have any need for it, but I have an ADB system dump for the zara_cl variant.

I don't wanna scare you, but let me know your results upon unlocking your device. After the mandatory data wipe I no longer have a shortcut to Calculator in the app drawer. The widget is still available and functional, but no app shortcut.

Yes , I said cdma and gsm . This won't apply for any roms even a modified stock version. The cdma version has a different partition which the gsm doesn't have . Recovery doesn't need the carrier partition though.
