2014-08-04 -Synced with latest CM sources -Switched to the version of camerawrapper that I apparently used in my 4.4.3 ROM. -Reduced call ring delay -Fixed "no network" bug -Removed ffmpeg h263/h264/mpeg4 entries, those are covered by OMX.google -ROM compiled with Linaro 4.9.1 2014-07 GCC Compiler P.S. Make sure to download new Gapps for this version of CM!
2014-06-28 -Synced with latest CM sources, Android updated to 4.4.4 -Min CPU freq set to 368 MHz, max - 1401 MHz (change max to higher if you want to) -Default governor set to TaurusR, scheduler to SIO. -KSM is on by default. -Re-added extra volume steps. -Increased SD card cache to increase read speeds. -Updates in kernel, mainly to improve RAM management and increase performance. -Fixed some graphical glitches (not in browser) by compiling with Linaro 4.8 2014-03 GCC compiler. -Slight camera improvements (added camerawrapper) -Increased camera focus speed. -SELinux set to permissive. -Wideband AMR enabled, should increase in call speaker quality. -Added a script that switches to Deadline scheduler while booting to increase boot speed. P.S. Make sure to download new Gapps for this version of CM! TWRP v126.96.36.199 or never is required! Other recoveries won't allow CM to boot! For me the Camera app would keep closing, flashing back to stock ICS and then using TWRP to flash CM11 fixed that problem.
2014-06-19 -Synced with latest CM sources, Android updated to 4.4.3 -Added FFMPEG support. -No more delay after pressing record video in Camera app. -Dual mic feature enabled. -ART runtime fixed (first boot is slow, don't worry) -Speed improvements. -Removed IDEOSX5Settings, pretty much useless with 3.0.101 kernel. -ROM compiled with latest Linaro 4.9 GCC compiler. P.S. Make sure to download new gapps for this version of CM!
2014-03-21 -Synced with latest CM sources. -Updated Rittik's kernel to 3.0.101, added Dynamic FSYNC Controller, KSM. -Fixed WiFi tethering while using "Wireless Tether for Root users" (app is included in this ROM) Settings in the app: Device-Profile: Google NexusOne; Setup-Method: Softap (master); WiFi-driver reload 1 enabled, 2 disabled. -Fixed 720p video recording (say thanks to Moihack for that :P ) -Fixed audio issues, speaker sounds clean now, in call volume is louder. (say thanks to Ivan for that :P ) -Fixed battery drain due to the Messaging app. It was causing the CPU to run at full speed thus draining the battery. P.S. Make sure to download new gapps!
2014-02-18 -Synced with latest CM sources. -Fixed low volume in calls. -Possibly fixed AudioRouting issues mentioned here (someone, confirm!): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50399037&postcount=10 -ROM compiled with Linaro GCC 4.7 2014-1 Toolchain (kernel with stock 4.3.3) -Less frame drops, device is more smooth.
2014-02-16 -Synced with latest CM sources. -WiFi. -Bluetooth. -Camera. -RIL. -Fixed black browser screen. -Fixed screenshots. -Fixed sd card mounting. -Running 3.0.98 kernel by Rittik (Sources linked below) -Fixed MAC issues. -Fixed h/w video decoding (720p video playback without lag) -Added IDEOSX5Settings, experimental (By Blefish) -Added hardware tunables, experimental (By Blefish) -Unlocked 60 FPS. Device is super smooth now! -Transparent status bar. -Fixed Torch. -Speed optimizations. -More...
-WiFi tether doesn't work with stock app, here's a work around: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50156494&postcount=3710 -Some graphical image bugs in the browser. Use a different browser for now if this bug really affects you. -WiFi MAC address may not be correct on some phones. -Compiling the kernel with Linaro breaks WiFi, so the kernel is compiled with stock 4.3.3 compiler. -Possibly more
1. Use ART runtime. Read here why ART is so great: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2622098
2. Set max CPU freq to 1804MHz. This might be too high for some users, set it lower if needed. I get great performance and battery life together with TaurusR.
1904MHz works great as well, but I find that in heavy games the phone heats up too much on 1904MHz.
3. Keep apps to a minimum. The less apps you'll have - the more free RAM and less CPU usage you'll get.
How to install:
Make sure you are running TWRP v188.8.131.52 or newer (CWM won't work!), and using an ICS based ROM (4.0+)
1. Copy CM11 and Gapps zip files to your internal storage.
2. Boot into Recovery (Power+Volume Up)
3. Click 'Wipe'
4. Swipe to Factory Reset.
5. Click 'back', then 'Advanced Wipe', select 'system', Swipe to Wipe.
6. Go back to the main menu, click 'Install'
7. Select the CM11 zip file.
8. Click 'Add More Zips', select Gapps zip file.
9. Swipe to Confirm Flash.
10. Click 'Reboot System'
