to English and see if its in the google play store that way, if not then it could be your location, that does not have pvz 2
One more thing, when you copy pvz 2 to your device have you set the privileges to allow access to the file?

Never try that..
Will try change location and language..

Smile Successfully rooted european K00Z (Single SIM)
Hi guys,

based on the guide from [ROOT] Asus FonePad 7 / K00E / ME372CG written by MEHRDAD595 and the hints for using this method for other fonepad devices of maxz, i have successfully rooted my K00Z WW-build.

The rooting process is exactly equivalent to the K00E - especially you need a adjusted root.zip

Instructions:

1.Download THIS package and extract it in a folder
2.Download Intel USB Driver For Android Devices and install it
3.Download root file attached which is same as your build number.
4.Go to "DROIDBOOT" (turn off tablet, press power+vol up together till u enter it!)
5.copy root zip file you have downloaded at step 3 to extracted folder.
6.open "OPEN.cmd" and enter this:
Code:
Code:
fastboot flash update rootx.x.xWW.zip
for WW-Build or
Code:
fastboot flash update rootx.x.xTW.zip
for TW-Build (untested!)
(x.x.x is your build number)
7.after flashing got complete tablet will be restarted and it shows "Installing System Update"
8.grats,u got root access now!

Instructions for ota updates on previously rooted devices:

That worked for me! Thanks!

Just another question : Do we have to disable OTA updates, cause it might brick the device ?

Finally Thank you very very much for updating us fussel323.

I personally would disable OTA updates as even if it does not brick the device, root would most probably be lost after updating. I'd rather wait a little longer for the root file to be available first and then OTA update

Also shout out to MEHRDAD595 & maxz for making this happen!

---

FYI, I already had SuperSU & Root Checker Basic installed before trying to root. After rooting, I opened SuperSU to update their binary files. It initially failed but the second try was successful. Restarted again and then verified with Root Checker Basic that it was indeed rooted.

Based on my experiences with a rooted K00E and OTA - the update-process will mostly fail, especially with SuperSU in survival mode. The function "complete un-root" of supersu does the trick for an successfull update (Revoke all persistent changes to /system before unrooting). After that you can (re-)root it with an update zip-file. But this is only my experience - thatswhy no guarantee

Besides there is an full image of the current version for K00Z on ASUS Support page - so you can theoretical fall back to an clean original system.
