I want to extract the HTC_S620_WWE_1.27.405.1_4.1.13.44_02.94.90_Ship.ex e in order to get the EXCAIMG.nbh file.

The means? To copy it to a FAT32 formatted SD, plug it to the phone in bootloader mode and see if it works!

It is easy:
  1. run the update (no need to connect the device)
  2. wait for the unpack and first prompt
  3. go to your temp directory (XP: <profile>\Local Settings\Temp\
  4. find the latest created directory (some temporary name)
  5. get the nbh from there.

Go to

c:\users\<your user's name>\AppData\Local\Temp

Check thru date the last created directory

Don't forget to open first the update.
If you can't see the AppData directory, you need to change the folders settings to see hidden system files.

regards
