.NET cf 3.5 is already included in 3.1.2. No need to install it. Probably why you're getting error messages.

I found this on MSDN forum and it worked for me.

Problem solution:

Giving the installation error:

"Installation error. Stop all applications and processes, maximize available storage space, and run installation again. Support info: 3"

Solution:
1. download mobile registry editor
2. delete entry \local machine\software\microsoft\netcompactframework (delete all of it)
3. re-install net compact framework 3.5

I take no responsibility for any problems that you may encounter after editing your registry. As always, proceed at your own risk.

I don't know what the problem was on your phones....maybe a bad flash...

3.1.2 has cf 3.5. It's located in the SYS folder of your kitchen in a directory called NetCF35 and gets cooked in.

Great tip!

This worked for me with the same problem installing NETCFv35 on a Diamond.

Does 3.5 contain everything that 2.0 has? Meaning will programs running with 2.0 work the same with 3.5?
