Hello,

This is my first contribution for the HTC Touch HD (btw it's working on other devices too).

It's a small client for watching and controlling IP Cameras remotely.

It includes the templates for over 300 models and the mobile version is free.

you can find additional informations on this page:
http://www.webcamxp.com/download.aspx

I haven't got opportunity to test many of the ip camera templates on the mobile version because it uses the same data file as my windows application so if you have the opportunity to test, your feedback is welcome

The cameras using RTSP protocol and audio is not supported in webcamXP Mobile

2.1.0

° Supports 10 presets for fast switching between cameras.
° Full screen rotation can be disabled in case the rom is automatically rotating.
° Fixed connection issues if camera number is empty.
° Bigger Pan & Tilt control buttons.

2.1.1

° Fixed pan & tilt
° Improved jpeg mode performances (not swapping on SD Card anymore)

2.1.2

° Fixed authentication issues
° Improved mjpeg streams performances

2.1.3

° Fixed issue with Vilar camera ([jpeg alternate] mode is now working)

2.2.0

That's awesome. We use Axis cameras at work. It seems they are supported. Thanks!

What does it do on other phones like the Touch Pro? Does the resolution change or does it cut off parts of the screen? Thanks

Yes axis cams are supported, this has been tested already, even ptz seems to work correctly

Screen resolution should be adapted automatically but HTC Touch PRO has not been tested.

i've tested on :

Touch HD
Symbol MC 75 (480x640)
Symbol MC9090 (240x320)

Thumbs up
Excelent app, you'r the best.
One question: you have the option to select the camera number on settings but it doesn't seem to get saved, and in viewing the cam i don't see where we can skip to camera 2. I ask this because i have 2 panasonic 100 and would be awsome to view the second cam with a single tap on a button or a combobox. Many thanks.

Hello, It would be great to have the possibility to switch among different cameras.
I have also a linksys WVC54GC and' I can't find the way to see it with yr sw. Is there anywhere the possibility to see a log to determine the problem (maybe the problem is that the model in the table is without the ending C) ?

Hi,

the camera number is intended for ip camera servers which are supporting more than 1 source on the same ip.

it's in prevision to be able to save more than 1 camera and have presets which could be swapped quickly but still not implemented.

Regarding the linksys camera it's not supported, the template is here because it's supported in the windows application.

(same for rtsp templates which not supported on windows mobile version actually but it concerns about 10 templates which are listed).

the linksys cameras (both WCG54G and WCG54GC) are providing MMS (Windows media) stream, it's possible to view it directly from windows mobile player but not from webcamxp mobile using the url mms://192.168.1.15/img/video.asf

As far as i remember the mms stream coming from the linksys camera is never protected by authentication even if it's enabled on camera side.

What i also remember is that is some case it's required to have ffdshow installed on the windows computer to be able to connect to the camera's mms stream.

They are using a customized Windows Media profile that even media player cannot always decode natively without having an mpeg-4 decoder.

I have never tested directly Linksys to Windows Media Player mobile i have tested MMS stream coming directly from my windows application (which are using standard profiles).
