Apparently I am having the same problems that others have been having, because my Dash is freezing at the boot screen. I'm in a precarious situation because my computer that I used to sync my contacts to died a few weeks I am pretty much screwed.

I tried ActiveSync, but it will not recognize my phone. Is there ANY way for me to get my contacts off my phone before I do the dreaded 'hard reset'? Are there any other tools that I can use to 'browse' my phone and pull my files off? Pretty much the past two years of my life are on this phone...

Do T-mobile stores have a way to recover phone numbers?

Also, when I browse through 'My Computer' a 'Mobile Device' is recognized, but when I click 'Explore', nothing shows up. But ActiveSync doesn't recognize the phone at all.

Try to uninstall and reinstall active synce, sometimes that works. Also for future referance, try using a back-up app like Microsoft My Phone or Dashwire. Both can be found in the "Useful Post...Useful apps" thread in the sticky.
