Hi guys.
most of my uncles and brothers work in usa and I live in india.
Two of my brothers work in android.
They said to me about gingerbread that....

It has a highly custamisable ui

Ui is very near to the palms web os

The icons will be in the shape of cuboid.

You can even change the notification bar colour.

Notification bar icons can also be changed.

Coming to the browser, gingerbreads browser will have more speed than froyo.

The browser supports add-ons.

There will be tabbed browsing.

The keyboard will also change fully

They said we can type faster than swype with that.

Every icon changes.

It brings us never seen before clous services.

it improves the battery life very much.

the market app gets fully new look

they said its faster tjan froyo.

The camera app will contain options as an real camera.

The 3d app drawer will change and we can see a new one.

They also said that it improves security very much.

It has an in built antivirus and an task killar.

The best thing they had said to me is that these phones are pre rooted...lol

You messed up at the end, Google will never add a task killer, Android already handles memory and tasks better than just about all other mobile OSes, why add something that will mess things up more than any good it could do?

Actually, I believe 2.1+ have a task killer built in, just the GUI is somewhat a pain and it isn't easily accessed (and completely unnecessary). The rest sorta makes sense, except the web os thing.. i don't know how web os is for use, never used one of those phones, but I'd venture a guess to say.. unlimited homescreens + looping? Maybe. I dunno.

It will also include a feature that automatically hacks all iPhones within 50 metres.

>> The icons will be in the shape of cuboid.
uuhh, I cannot imagine that that will look nice. Edged 3D- or bevelled- objects in GUI design are kind of outdated and unfashionable these days. I fear that google might over-do the GUI design by falling prey to showing off 3D effects.
I am a big fan of 3D effects but nonetheless hope that the new design won't be too edgy.

>> You can even change the notification bar colour.
lets hope that that includes setting alpha transparency. The mono-colored notification bar in the current Android OS cannot compete with the fresh look of the iOS4 notification bar.

Other than that, the feature list really looks delicious.

I hope that that come up with a lightning quick way of app switching. Perhaps even an option to always leave a ribbon of 20 pixels at the bottom of the screen holding the icons of the previously opened apps.
