Hi,

Here is my take on the Windows Phone 7 UI:

I was inspired by the original colors:

The round icons are from: http://yankoa.deviantart.com/art/Win...cons-166077852

The font is Champagne and Limousines

After some hours calculating, trying, recalculating and some more trying I came to the perfect dimensions for the 1x4, 2x1 and 1x1 blocks.

1x1
Resolution: 72.009 ppi
Width: 115 px
Height: 133 px
Transparancy: 2 px above, 2px below
Resize Icons to: 101x101 px

2x1
Resolution: 72.009 ppi
Width: 115 px
Height: 266 px
Transparancy: none
Resize Icons to: 101x101 px

1x4
Resolution: 72.009 ppi
Width: 335 px
Height: 132 px
Transparancy: 3 px above, 4px below
Resize Icons to: 112x112 px

I also edited the GenieWidget, Music and SmoothCalendar apk's to match the look.

Everything is provided in the zipfile. Enjoy!

I got different resolutions but I don't use resizing. With my icons and without resizing the border dividing the icons is alwayws 10px. No transparency anywhere.

1x1
Resolution: 72.009 ppi
Width: 116 px
Height: 128 px

2x1
Resolution: 72.009 ppi
Width: 236 px
Height: 124 px

I also calculated those:

1x2
Resolution: 72.009 ppi
Width: 110 px
Height: 252 px

2x2
Resolution: 72.009 ppi
Width: 236 px
Height: 260 px

All my vertical icons are coming out blurry. The pack I downloaded in the OP, the horizontal icons are perfect. But the vertical icons come out slightly blurred/pixelated. Even making my own using the 110x272 size, saved as both .png NON interlaced AND .png interlaced, they come out blurry.

I'm using desktop visualizer. Under widgets, I select desktop visualizer (4x1), select the image and app, and hit ok. Am I selecting something wrong?

EDIT: Alright, I'm sorry. Skimming through the thread too fast, overlooked the 2x1 DV you have to use for verticals. Thanks!

I copied your apk files from here to my pc and after that to my download map on my phone (desire). Any idea what i am doin wrong?

you have to make sure you use something like rootexplorer to transfer the apk to the system/app folder. then you have to change the permission to -rw--r--r-

the reboot

Thanks to you we have the 1x4 and pretty perfect widget mods now :).

Tip for finding the right size for your phone: Take a widget in the size wanted, unlock it from the screen and let it fall back into the same space. LauncherPro now skips into Resize Mode - take a screenshot of this! The yellow translucent space is the size you want. Maybe you have to try around a bit by adding or removing a pixel (for me only vertically, horizontically everything was perfect) or two but all in all it's the best start. Taking screenshots of the various tests also helps to figure out the differences. I had to take three complete shots untill I had the final sizes.
