Incredible! This has been fun to read today as I popped in this morning to see where things stood & read 40+ new pages to see it cracked! Awesome job, all! Now just need to persuade the wife to get a NC so I have a chance to put this to good use! I'm in for a donation for all this work!

The Nook Color uses MicroUSB, so that might be your problem.

For gosh sakes guys, it's a WIKI. Anyone can edit it. Register and edit away....

for the time being, I fixed that reference, and made a link to the rooting progress page on the wiki.

I keep getting a permission denied error. can someone help?

there is what I see

[email protected]:~/Downloads$ sudo su
[email protected]:/home/ubuntu/Downloads# ./fastboot boot uImage
bash: ./fastboot: Permission denied

app installed, but no success running it
Hey all,
I followed the instructions and got Angry Birds copied over. It shows up in Extras with the proper icon and all. When I tap it, I briefly see the menu and back buttons appear on the status bar, but Angry Birds doesn't come up.
Any ideas?

By the way, really glad I went for the linux netbook rather than the windows one

try doing chmod +x ./fastboot

I had the same problem, when I downloaded it it didn't set it as executable
