(Video Tutorial) How to root and install custom recovery

HERE is a video on how to root and install a custom recovery on the motorola defy.

You need to have adb installed here's a video here on how to do that.

And here is the link to everything you need.

I am not responsible for anything you do to your phone I'm just providing a video.

All thanks should go to tenfar for making the recovery and sorensiim for making a guide. I basically just recorded what he wrote.


side note you don't need to use the android sdk to install z4root or the recovery apks you can just put them on your sdcard and install from there.
here's a update video on installing the motorola usb/adb drivers in ubuntu it goes with this video

Are you aware z4root works? I didn't need adb at all...

yeah I used it in the video I just used adb to install it instead of putting it on the sdcard and installing it. It gets users familiar with adb which they will need in the future.
