Works perfectly. deleted gmail.apk using root explorer, (tap r/o to change to r/w if cannot delete)
copied gmail.apk from SDcard, pasted into system/app
Long tap onto gmail.apk in root explorer. Changed all permissions to ALLOW.
Rebooted.

does it download the images with the message and store it on the phone, or is it the equivalent of clicking the 'show images' button whenever a msg is opened?
thanks

Keep getting force closes
Sounds good, but not worth the battle.
