PaceOff- v3.0/v1.3 [NON-ROOT]

PaceOff- is a non-root version of PaceOff here. https://forum.xda-developers.com/sma...t-off-t3767915

It is not possible for a custom app to reboot or shutdown the watch without root. However, if we can make this app a system app, it works perfectly. To do so, we still need some kind of root. Fortunately, we can gain temporary root via ADB using a modified boot.img by Neuer_User. Without his work, making this app a system app won't be possible for non-root users.

Disclaimer:
I am not responsible for any bad things caused by using this app, and blah, blah, blah.
The app is free for personal use.

Instruction:
The app doesn't require root, but your watch must have unlocked bootloader.
How to unlock bootloader: https://forum.xda-developers.com/sma...-2-79-t3711327
You also need to have ADB/fastboot driver working on your PC.

If you know how to make an app a system app, you can extract the apk files from the attached zip file and install them as you wish.
For your convenience, I also have an installation script package.

Note: after the installation, your watch is still NOT rooted as before. In fact, nothing is changed except PaceOff- installed as a system app.

Steps to install:
1) Download anox.PaceOff-.Installer.zip
2) Extract the zip file into a folder.
3) Connect your turned on watch to the PC.
4) On the PC, double click one of the .bat files (install-paceoff-vX.X.bat) corresponding to the version you want to install.
5) Wait until you see FINISHED.

To upgrade/downgrade, double click the .bat file corresponding to the version you want to install.
To uninstall, double click uninstall-paceoff-.bat while your turned on watch connected to the PC.

Usage:
  • Quick reboot, Quick Shutdown
Note that there is no confirmation screen here. Click a button, then boom!
  • Shutdown Scheduler
It turns off the watch automatically at a configurable time.
  • Battery Level Shutdown
It turns off the watch automatically at a configurable battery level.
  • After Boot Autostart
It automatically starts the shutdown scheduler after booting. The watch, therefore, can be turned off automatically at a configurable time or battery level daily.

My installation script package includes files from these two guys. BIG thanks to them.

Ouch, it still needs an unlocked bootloader, so there is no way to use it with stock watches...

There is no way to simulate long press of the button to shows the shutdown message? Maybe enabling an assistive service?

Thanks

Nah, that's not possible. If it was, it could pose a security risk to Android.

Even if we could do that, it would save us only one click, compared to using the system menu. Besides, there is still no way to reboot the watch.
