If you did not use the USA code, you HAVE to...I think that will do it for you. I am very confident it will. The USA is one of the only countries that allows that Samsung Pay on watches...that is why it didn't work when I first bought my watch, it was France code. Wow...I feel like I might have actually just helped you. Your phone might also have to have USA code if it's not from there...I don't know about that tho. Let me know if that works for you :eek:

Hello Frankie! It works with Australia and UK. There was a Android Pay watch plugin that I had to manually install, and the first version that I installed was bugged. I don't know what region the phone is but if I had to guess it's Romania. I don't even know how to check this on Sony.

Too bad that Samsung Pay doesn't support Revolut not even in the UK.. so it's kind of an useless service for me.... Romanian cards are unsupported too.

Glad to hear that it works with Australia and UK. I would have never thought about that Android Pay plugin thing. It is too bad that it doesn't work with Romanian cards...it really is the best feature of the watch. Glad that it works with certain regions for you tho.

So I purchased a Samsung Gear Sport from New Zealand and brought over to Australia. Samsung Pay was not pre installed or was available on the watch because New Zealand does not have Samsung Pay yet. The Galaxy Apps Store was different as it was referencing the New Zealand Store. I know this post will be helpful to those purchasing Gear Sport on Kogan or internationally as it is cost effective. Here a are some simple instructions by someone that is not a developer to help you change your region without affecting the firmware of the watch.

This is crazy simple and I would like to thank @adfree for all the help provided in another post.

I have decided to make a new post which is simple and targets users who have purchased a watch away from their home country.

Download SDBstarterKidv1 from the following link please:
https://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=74585286&postcount=330

Pre Requisites:
Gear: Debugging Mode ON, Bluetooth OFF, Wifi IP address
PC: SDB 2.2.60 Installed

To find the IP address on Gear Sport: Settings > Connections > Wifi > Wifi Networks > [your network] > Scroll down to IP address

From SDBstarterKidv1 double click on 'install.bat'
From the subfolder data\tools double click on 'sdb.exe'

After noting IP address of the Gear Sport, Launch ‘Ansicon.exe’ from sdb_2.2.60_windows-64\data\tools

Type: sdb connect [IP of Gear Sport]

Look at Gear Sport, it will prompt you to accept a message
If you try the sdb connect [IP address] again, it will say "already connected". This is a good sign. Proceed.

Type: sdb shell and Enter

Copy Paste: launch_app csc-manager.csc-pre-configuration and Enter

Look at Gear Sport and select region you would like. Watch will Reset and launch as new.
If you can not pair with your phone, remember to unpair your previous Gear Sport from Bluetooth Menu.

Once Gear Sport is launched to home watch face, shut down Gear Sport and switch on again for Samsung Pay to appear. Wait for notification for Samsung Pay on Gear Sport (may take a minute).

Again, huge thanks to this website and @adfree

Cheers

Absolutely brilliant, thanks to all involved in posting this. I would only say that the instructions not too clear on the sdb install as this doesn't act like a normal windows installer. Could be a bit clearer. Anyway, big Thanks!

failed to connect (solved) and no launch_app csc-manager.csc-pre-configurati

On my Active 2 I ran in to several issues. One issue is the "failed to connect" message that I saw several others also had. I was able to solve that:
You need to make sure there is no other connection, e.g. to your phone. After rebooting, you can switch bluetooth on, and then from the Wearable app, go to Account and backup and switch Remote connection to off. Now switch off bluetooth again. No reboot is needed this time. This prevents the phone to make a wireless connection.
After this, the sbd connect <ipaddress> worked as it should. I had to confirm a message about an RSA key.

Now I ran in to a new issue, that I could not find. When I open the shell, and do
Copy Paste: launch_app csc-manager.csc-pre-configuration and Enter
I get:
... successfully launched
But nothing happens on the Active 2.
Any suggestions?

Worked perfectly on my watch active (sm-r500)

In my case, I had to activate the developer mode + debugging and I did a restart. After that worked just fine!

Worked perfect on SM800 - 5 min job

Bought my father in law a 46mm Galaxy Watch on the cheap and soon realized it was Romanian and therefore no Samsung Pay. Took no longer than 5 mins (including restarting watch after enabling debugging etc.) to switch the watch to UK (BTU) and now all works as it should. A massive thank you to all who were involved in getting this workaround figured out.

Hi buddy, can you tell me your software version? Is it Tizen 4.0? I just updated my gear sport to Tizen 4.004, I'm not sure if this method works on my device. Anybody tried to do this with a 4.004 Tizen system? I live in Korea. I'd like to try. Anybody can give me some suggestions?

    Seems you solved problem 1...

    Can you give more details?
Maybe which handset you use with Gear?
    Samsung device or something else...

And I have no feedback... if trick still working with latest Firmware...
    R600XXU1ARC4/R600OXA1ARC4

Maybe Samsung increased Security... no idea yet...

    Best Regards

Thank you for the easy solution!

Just to confirm this workaround still works perfectly after an upgrade to 3.0.0.2. I was able to change from an UAE sourced gear sport to BTU (UK).

When the watch resets and sets up Samsung Pay may not appear immediately and the app was not installed on my watch (it also says no payment app installed under NFC). Don't panic!

You just have to wait a while (in my case 30 minutes) before the gear app on my phone picked up Samsung pay and when I clicked it it pushed the watch app installation . From there on, everything worked fine.

I tried this procedure and it worked nicely, except i am in the US and do not see US csc codes on the watch. Is it possible to choose USA csc on the Gear Sport?
    1
    USA is XAR

    Best Regards
