Thanks mate

Ok, that makes sense. I think it's going to be a little on the large side for a watch but who knows - we may be amazed by the stuff they can cram in to a relatively small unit.

We'll see.

You have to look in the right place on their website, under "product/smartwatch"

Gearbest. Ordered it on June 3rd. It has arrived in Spain on June 13 so it's a matter of coming from Spain to Portugal. I expect to have it by the end of this week the latest...

I just looked at those and didn't really like the looks... is there an easy way to tell whether a watch is a tethering watch or not? Those two you mentioned have SIM card support and are tethering watches also according to you. That was the only way I could tell before if a watch was tethering or not...well, except if it had android as OS, that seems to be a sure way to tell a watch is definitely not a tethering watch
Is there a more appropriate thread where I could ask this questions and ask what the most recent/best tethering watch is at the moment? So I don't fill the Q1 thread with other watches questions...

each tehthering watch says that it has the capability to sync calls and sms and reply through them. no.1 has these watches on their site like the D2 and others.
btw you can just open a thread about what is the best tethering watch there is and the specs you want in it

you can use this app for calls and sms :https://plus.google.com/u/0/10303048...ts/bkhPcN99o2v

and if you want to reply to whatsapp and other apps use this:

I read about that in your other posts. It doesn't seems to work properly on bluetooth yet from what I read... At home, on wifi that's fine since I have no cell network on the down floor of my house and I keep the phone on the upper floor and it's an hassle to have to go up the stairs each time the phone rings or an sms is received...that would solve that problem, but when driving I would like to be able to pick up a phone call on the go...and for that I would need bluetooth tethering. Maybe in the future the X5 will be able to do so thanks again!

I see on SmartWatch Ticks YouTube channel there is a firmware update for the Finow Q1.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9k...dqb21qRms/view

My question is this; I do not own a computer, so I was wondering can I download this directly to the watch and install the zip file by navigating to: Settings-About phone-Wireless update-Local updates-Internal storage-Downloads?

If this is not possible, is there a way to 'make' the update file compatible for this method or another way of installing without the use of a computer?
