Love my zenwatch 3 and want to switch bands, are there any tutorials on this or do you just slide the little switch and look for bands with quick release? Assuming bands for zenwatch 2 are compatible with zenwatch 3 ?

Unfortunately Zenwatch 2 bands aren't compatible with Zenwatch 3. There aren't any Zenwatch 3 bands on the market yet that I know of, but you can fashion one yourself with an exacto-knife or a dremmel tool: https://www.reddit.com/r/zenwatch/co..._custom_bands/

There are about 6 genuine official zenwatch 3 bands however
they are all either rubber or leather straps. No stainless steel.

Here is the link for BHPHOTO where you can buy zenwatch 3
straps: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/con...op+Nav-Search=
The straps are in-stock.

Good luck, have a great day!

No standard band fits the zenwatch 3.
Hopefully there will be 3d party metal bands for the zenwatch 3 soon.

Good luck, have a great day.

That kickstarter is a nifty idea, I actually just bought this band : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It was fairly easy to modify to fit the zenwatch3, and the color is a perfect match for the gun metal zenwatch3. Pictures 1,5 and 6 are what you get (2,3,4 show a different lug attachment), and with a 1/16" drill bit and a dremel you can modify it to work. Just remove the lug that attaches the band to the watch (tool comes with the band), this leaves a narrow link exposed that will fit the zenwatch. Then use the drill bit (in a drill, not the dremel) to widen the hole so the 14mm pin from your zenwatch fits in that link. Tip here, use a drill, and on very very slow speed, and hold the link with your hand, that way if it catches you don't break the bit off inside the link.

Now the pin from your watch should fit in that link, but you'll notice the quick release stops the pin from being centered in the link. The last step is to make a small notch in the link to make room for the quick release knob on the pin, or if you can find a 14mm pin without a quick release you'd be done. i used a tiny cutting disc that came with my dremel, but i'm sure there are other ways, the notch only needs to be 2mm deep in order to fit. If anyone is interested I can post a picture of what it ended up looking like.

Iceman153, thank you for your tips. On your suggestion, I bought the same band as you ("steel black" color), followed your instructions and it turned out great! When you said "very very slow speed", I thought you meant the rotation speed of the drill bit, but my drill only goes at one speed. I then learned that you meant to advance the drill bit very very slowly. I did that a little too fast and the bit caught, good thing I followed your suggestion to hold the link in my hand. I used regular 14mm pins as my dremel doesn't have a tiny metal cutting disc, so I didn't modify it for the quick-release pins (at least not yet).
