Updating without wipe causes Play Services to force close continuously.
Went back to previous version.

please read before posting?
I wrote the first post on Main ADDED everything I've added in this version.....
I also wrote that he had made changes to the "system"
I have not posted an update but the full version.
nobody wrote, to make update, without corresponding wipe.

This latest release works perfectly with its Gapps: made more test download / update - PERFECT!

But obviously I repeat doing all wipe, ...... as always mentioned in the first post - INSTALLATION-!
If then for you is a problem, not to lose your data / apps- can comfortably do miui backup.

Hallo, i don´t get any write access on any systemfolder ... is that only my issue or does anyone has the same???

If what you seek is to have root permissions:
very well,
you have two roads :
.(in v6, after starting the app that requires root permissions) also V4 and V5:
go in security / root access / check to give app



.or a tip: before posting read some guide on use of a miui, because these are the basics of the "superuser" miui

Also this rom (5.5.29) has also integrated the superuser-mod (something different from normal superuser).
In fact, you can now install Xposed Framework and WSM TOOLS without any problem or bootloop. check before compatibility - modules - with Miui 6
But if not root permissions, you always stop to a pole

Now I'm in your miui. Nice, and good job, thank you. Unfortunately I have a few "problem":
- the status bar is very small, how can I make it bigger?
- there is no photo when I make a recieve a call
- i need 3 dot menu, how can I enable (with xposed is no problem)
- if i can use xposed and/or wsm tools, can you please give me a link for download?
- my language translation is very uncomplete
- there is a lot of chinese charcter , and for example in theme app after the start is english,but after a few seconds changing to chinese

Can you share your v4 as well? And we will be happy if you can continue v5 devepolment. In my opinion v4 and v5 are better than this early v6...

I think you did a mix.
format everything and install again rom. without root permissions I could publish this rom, because I could not do any tests ... I have also attached screenshoot, - to highlight the root of the individual app- that no root could not work!
Superuser or SuperSu is incompatible with MIUI. I repeat, please read some guidelines to use system miui

Well, I have not xposed installed right now (i had on my previous rom), so the question was what version is working (that's why i ask if you can give us a link and for wsm as well).

About chinese characters, ok i understand (and i readed the whole thread), but are there any way to dusable the update?

The latest v5 will be fine, but I want to give a try to v4 as well

I installed supersu from play, and it working well! The miui premission center is unconfortable...

Well, i was doing all needed to flash rom ...... but even no permission ....... and i did not doing a mix of supersu and security before. and i gave root permission to root explorer with the securityapp .......................
i don´t know what was going wrong there................... of course i made a complete wipe of everything before flashing ............... if someone has a solution, i will be happy

with miui5 i didn´t have these weird problem

I TRY TO MAKE CLEAR THE ROOT MIUI 6
In miui v5 was the root to the general system. through an apk miui.
In v6, the choice is clear: to give greater stability to the system. Even more SECURITY!
I think the choice is right, in ADB test I see some programs (apk) that give IMEI number of your device!
So the choice was in V6 give the root for each apk.
eg: I have to install root explorer:
install root explorer,
start and use to transfer from SD Card to system / app - file Apollo -
have this
press copy and go to system / app -
you have this
press home - then go to: security / root access /
you have this: Figure 3
switch to root explorer
you have this: - press next

you now root explorer with mermessi root!

back to root explorer now you have this: apollo transferred
and above system, in RW!

all this obviously needs to be done,
once!
this is because after MIUI BACKUP
you can do the restore fast ALSO PERMISSION!
AFTER A FORMAT, OR A NEW RELEASE

superuser and supersu, give permission to the general system. Contrary to the system Miui6 - for this reason, I think it inconpatibile -. trying to give the best security system! I do not recommend -

but if it is better for you, I can attach one superuser.zip in this post

INSTALL FROM RECOVERY:
1 RECOVERY
2 FLASH ZIP
3 REBOOT

INSTALL FROM: UPDATER (MORE COMFORTABLE):
GO UPDATER APP
CLICK = NOT NOW
OPEN SLIDER TOP RIGHT (UNDER BATTERY)
PRESS: CHOOSE UPDATE PACKAGE
SELECT: MEMORY INTERNAL / EXTERNAL - CHOOSE THE ZIP
(EVERYTHING IS THEN IN AUTO) .....


FIRST REBOOT - MESSAGE IN SUPERSU APP - OPEN / CONTINUE / PRESS: TWRP-CWM / OK
ROOT GENERAL REACHED -

that miui v6, a new Android system,
totally different from miui5 in many parts, and of course still very improvable.

FIRST: I do not understand which anomaly you have? you have the density of 320dpi in the build prop.? ok

I have not verified if all the news' included changelog have been met.
I noticed that the most anticipated change (for me) (disregarded in many device): the music player controls in lookscreen, was not present.

I dont have problems with my SD. Even I formatted my memory card from FAT32 to NTFS but no luck.
old Walkman can sees my musics on memory card, but (Mi)Music cant find them. I turned "Use external SD card" option on too.

fifth: my writing is not good enough, but i can translate (maybe) an XML file, or something like this for you.

sixth: one thing more.. soft keys In landscape mode, has not the right place.

Could anyone help me out where can I activate the root in cwm? I understood that apps asks for root permissooon in security menu, but when I try to open something what needs root acces, it says that my device is not rooted. Thanks for the help in advance.

You need to format complete userdata (including internal storage) since nothing will work corectly including problems with sdcard! You must do it! And you can not use backups which is not maded with this rom! All these things is selinux related! When you do userdata format selinux will relabel your userdata and internal storage propertly and everything will start working corectly! If you have no idea how to format complete userdata, just solution is: flash LP userdata from ftf

Yes, I faced, with this problem as well , in terminal is says no "mount: operation not permitted". I formatted everything (system, data, cache) before flash this rom. So, now, if I need to modify anything, than I doing it from recovery"s filemanager...

In my opinion supersu is better than the built in permission management, so, you can install it, and after that when an app need root, than it will prompt is for you. Anyway, if you want to use the miui built in style, than look for oregon69 reply above about this.
