LOL! This made me smile
Root phone. Download my android tools pro. Then u can turn off hfa.Hey all my phone was working great running this firmware, only thing I had to do was setup APN
BUT after I had a different issue the sprint tech had me do a ##72786# to force reprovisioning, my phone is stuck w a notification saying "Checking Device Status..." from Sprint OMADM. Nothing progresses on the phone and customer support is saying nothing is happening on their end. We've tried all sorts of things to no avail.
any ideas?
Would there be any danger in skipping the ENG boot step.? In other words: flash the OEM TAR, then ADB root? Anything that can't be fixed by flashing the stock tar again? If worst comes to worst?
Im in a similar situation. I also upgraded to Binary 5. I was trying to use my phone on T-mobile but none of the ROMs were working. Now i soft bricked my phone and I dont know what to do.I'd love to use this on my G935P but I recently updated to QK1 update and I know its binary 5. Currently using DSU by Sprint G935P with Mintsim. Is there any possible downgrade path? Or am I stuck with this ROM for now? I looked around for the root methods etc but it seems like because of my current carrier + update combo, I'm SOL for rooting AND using unlocked or any other firmware I also tried flashing the latest T-Mobile ROM but no luck with that either =/

Soft bricked? Is your phone boot-looping? In that case, thats what happened when I flashed this rom and the T-Mobile Rom. All I did to fix that was I kept holding Vol-Down+Home+Power until it finally booted into download mode and I just flashed stock Sprint ROM QJ3 and it fixed my phone.
If its something else, still try to boot your phone in download mode and flash stock the QJ3 update and hopefully that fixes it
Well I can get it into download mode. It doesnt start anymore though, it tells me some crap about "smart switch phone emergency recovery" which I couldnt get to work. Do you by any chance have a link to flash stock QJ3 download you mention?
Ahhh, I also had that "Use Smart Switch Recovery" problem and whenever I tried to connect my phone with Smart Switch on my comp, it would say that the device isn't supported even though I installed all the proper drivers. But yes, flashing with Odin fixed it. What you have to do is keep holding the power button until you finally see the screen shut off and QUICKLY hold the vol-down+home+power while it restarts and it should boot into download mode. Keep trying if you dont get it on the first try. After you get it into download mode, make sure you have the latest Odin version and then flash this.
You're going to need to make an account and the download speeds are atrocious, but all the other sites require you to pay to download more than 2gb so this was what I used =/. Good luck!
Thank you. I was actually able to flash back to the stock firmware. Unfortunately, I still cannot use it on T-mobile though. I tried flash the U firmware, but I guess its not working because I updated to Binary 5?
I've read through through all the discussions in this thread, but nothing clear on helping with getting Hotspot working on G935U Rom posted at the beginning of this forum. I went from Stock ROM to G935U using link on first post. Used Odin 3.12 in zip. Used CSC_OYMxxx file. Booted fine, APN auto-set, LTE working. Can someone help? Someone else posted the same issue, but no answers. Please help! I've included pics of my ROMs before and after and the failure I'm getting. Thx!
Dude use shortcut master lite, search for lte. Use the first one that pops up in that line of com.test.functionality , click on it, go to lte apn and apply ,dun and your good. Works for me. Don't need msl
