ChangeLog R02 (N975F/N976B)

• Base of ROM will remain same as R01 (Official Android 11 - N975FXXU6ETLL)
• Kernel updated to DrKetan Kernel (based on CruelKernel 4.0) with magisk built-in
• As magisk patched kernel included, No more combo key requires to reboot to system with root. Also now you can have TWRP installed.
• Most of root issue should now get fixed
• First Install TWRP (Same as R01 is fine), TWRP available in download area is by Ian and Android 10 based, but we are now having custom kernel so you can keep TWRP installed. Also to note that, if you want official TWRP available based on android 11 You can install it (I have not tested so I am not sure if it works correctly on aroma features or not). If you have any issue with official TWRP, kindly use older TWRP available in ROM download area.
• Included DrKetan/Cruel kernel which is compiled with source code from cruel-kernel Thanks and credit to @ evdenis for kernel. Here is OP for kernel & source code
• TWRP is included fro Ian TWRP Here is OP of TWRP Thanks & Credit to ianmacd
• TweaksPro users needs to update to TweaksPro 3.0.0 or up.

ROM features :

- NO more Combo key requires, simple reboot will always reboot with root and any tool showing Reboot to Root will reboot to TWRP without holding any key.
- Ad Free QS Panel Toggle
- Secure Folder working now.
- Recovery QS Panel Toggle (Reboots device to TWRP) PS : This needs custom kernel with built in magisk
- More secure OEM patch.
- S Pay with Gear wearable (Only supported models) - Provided you have installed required packages and hidden 'pay' stuff with magisk hide.
- High Volume warning disabled
- Debloated unnecessary craps (tried to preserve most functions though)
- Dex to PC should work out of box
- Pre fixed Titanium freezing while restoring apps
- Added some important samsung stuff

PS : There may be few more options in ROM control but won't work if those are not mentioned here.

Recommended Installation Steps

We Don't recommends/supports dirty flash, but one thing to note, you always should remove lockscreen & Biometric data before flashing ROM in case you gonna flash dirty.

ROM tested with Ian TWRP ( Download area have it) Credit & Thanks @ ianmacd Here is link for OP and source code.

MultiDisabler is require only those, who want to use stock ROM + TWRP. If you want to flash DrKetan ROM, DONT FLASH MULTIDISABLER

Once you manage to fix it, follow below given tips and go through Add On & Bug bix section below

Important Notes once you finish installing ROM

DON'T INSTALL ANY DISABLER/BT FIX/MAGISK anything after flashing ROM, as ROM already pre patched for all these stuff. Additionally flashing may cause issue. Also you shouldn't WIPE device after flashing ROM, but It should be before flashing ROM.

- It may take 6-7 minutes to finish installation. once installation finish, select reboot to system

- After this first of all open magisk and check if installed correctly, If it ask for complete additional setup, let it do and reboot.(If ROM being installed as said, then it won't ask)

I recommend to disable magisk notification (Magisk - setting - superuser notification - none (This will make mods to work much faster)

After looking magisk is installed properly, open ROM Tool and apply essential Fix - Reboot device after applying essential fix

If you are using Gear watch or other accessory, setup it and finish rest of personal installation.

Done !

Special Note for Gear wearable & Gear SPay

Spay (Gear) working out of box (As per my test), provided you have installed required apps.
To connect it flawlessly,
1.Clean Install ROM + Open ROM Tool and Apply Essential Fix - Reboot
2.Make sure Magisk manager safetyNet check pass
3.Connect gear with Bluetooth (Gear should factory reset) and this will auto install all required apps.
Once Gear connects, simply open Samsung Pay from Galaxy Wearable app - Hide it in Magisk Hide and you should able to add card.

Important : If you want to use EdXposed with Gear Spay then first add your card before installing EdXposed


I recommend clean Installation only. If you are able to handle consequences with dirty flash then proceed, but don't post bugs in forum without clean installing ROM.


Tips,AddOn & Fix

- Rebooting device after appearing lockscreen
This is happens in case you are using dual messanger on decrypted R* ROM, This bug is because of update security by samsung/Google. I have noticed this bug very soon after First Beta for N20 and it still remain on stable R. Here some workaround for this bug

• If no need, avoid using dual messanger (Try secure folder)
• If you don't setup lock on lockscreen this won't cause any issue
• You can use stock rooted ROM (No any modification/TWRP) should work too (Not tested)

I have tried to look into this but as of now no better solution found, if anything better option available, it will get updated.

- 3 minit users can use 3minit battery paid version for free. Check this (Thanks to gharrington )

- Stuck while flashing something (Bootloop), How can I reboot to download
There is a golden rule that always works when you stuck anywhere (bootloop). Follow this -
1.Plugin device to PC
2.Keep holding power + vol down
3.As soon as screen goes blank, keep holding vol up + vol down (here you needs to be quick)
And you are in download mode.

- EdXposed You can directly install from Magisk download repositories

- Read ROM Tool - Update & Fix if any new available.

my phone note 10 plus 5 G SM-N976N, I fallow your instruction and install custom rom Dr.Ketan. I install custom rom successfully, then see IEMI unknown and sim not working, so re read your instructions and Try to install BootLoader & MOdem.

i am use Odin and install Bootloader & Modem .tar but downloads error secure check fail : (cm)
and IEMI not working

It bootloops after R01 or R02 install, attempt to flash the N976B BL & CP in odin fails.

Do you have the BL & AP and CP for the N976N A11 model?

install R01 start system but without configuring android, restart flash twr, mount R02 start system without wipe, start without any problem, R02 currently operating.

I have a question, due to compatibility issues with Screen2Auto apk and other mirror applications for android auto, I need to change Magisk version to 20.4 since version 21 does not work the Android Auto touch, how can I make this change since it comes with the kernel

I did a dirty flash from Q12 and so far it seems to be working okay. I'm going to clear the system and data later, though, when I have more time to spend working on my phone and setting it up again.

EDIT: Never mind. After I rebooted the first time, the phone is acting really strange and gets really very extremely hot. I don't think I'd recommend you or anyone else to dirty flash from Q12 or 13. Just do it the proper way instead. It'll be a lot easier and quicker and save yourself so much trouble.

When you are coming from stock A11, main important things are
- You needs to Format data (that requires to type 'yes')
- You must have compare md5 of ROM zip after moving to device to confirm file isn't corrupted.
- Flashed TWRP available in download area
other than these I don't see chances of bootloop
