Did a fresh install with 1/02 build (w/ Pico OpenGApps), Wifi broken. Updated to ZVC modem, full wipe/reinstall, still WiFi issues. Flashed from TWRP2.8.7.0.

EDIT: I installed 12/20 in the same fashion, WiFi works fine. Dirty-flashed 1/02, and it broke WiFi, FWIW.

Yes wifi is also still not functioning for me.

Found a way to get WiFi.
Basically I backed up data before I flashed anything. Once I finished flashing, I set cm13 up, and then restored my data partition. WiFi seems to work well now. At least with networks I already had. Haven't tested with any new networks.

Same problem with this build for me. Multiple themes crashing the UI. Everything else seems operational.
Just to clarify, I only have been trying clean flashes. Perhaps that's why my Wifi continues to work? I'll try a dirty flash later to verify if that is the issue.

Confirmed

I did a clean flash first and had the WiFi issue. I don't think that's the problem.
That is confirmed. My GPS and WiFi works great for me on all of these builds, dirty flash or not. Which is baffling why it works for some of us but not others. Another thing I'll throw out there is I have two operational G3's in my house (my gf has a LS990 with a similar ROM), and most of the LS990 ROMs out there are using the same WiFi MAC address; which will create a conflict if trying to connect to the same router. To change the WiFi MAC address on our G3's, modify the following 3 files with a text editor and change the value 'macaddr=' (ie 00:90:4c:c5:12:38) to a different MAC address:

system/etc/wifi/bcmdhd.cal
system/etc/wifi/bcmdhd_lgit.cal
system/etc/wifi/bcmdhd_murata.cal

All I did was increment the last number (38 to 39). Be sure to reboot after making the change.

However, I was able to address the crashing themes. After installing a theme, do a full restart before and after applying the theme. It might still do a single crash after applying, but the second reboot finishes the apply of the theme and then no more crashing. That seems to be a temp fix for now.

Only thing I can not get to work now is the NFC. Is anyone else able to use it? If so, what app are you using if not the native OS polling?

Everything is setup and working great on 01/01 build! Wifi and GPS fix work like charms! And hallelujah the bluetooth works like stock without dropouts! Battery life is superb, best yet! Only issue i've been having is phone is powering down seemingly randomly. But I figured out it is due to temperature. Never before has my G3 shut down from heat which is weird. Has anyone else come across this issue?

Happens to me about once a day. I usually let it cool down and take it a little easier.

I no longer have any heating issues at all, and my G3 stays an average of 10 degrees Celsius cooler using a thermal pad on the SoC. If you are comfortable opening your G3 I recommend using this mod because it is easy, cheap, and reversible. You can refer to my post in another thread to get started.

Also, are you having any NFC issues with this build? Would you mind testing your NFC for me? It would be much appreciated, as it is still the only thing not functional on this ROM for me. :)

I clean-installed 1/02 build with the Wifi Firmware update and GPS fix Yoxboxyo posted. Everything is running smoothly. Wifi connects flawlessly, GPS operates fast and accurately. No overt issues with battery or heat for me. Screen runs a little heavy on the battery compared to CM12.1, but it also has deeper color saturation and is a touch brighter at 50%, so take what you can get.

Only issue I am currently experiencing is the same issue I had with CM12.1 before it went official, and that's that I cannot add my Yahoo! IMAP account to the internal Email client. It works fine if I add it to Gmail, so that is my current work-around.

Anyone? Please confirm the NFC functionality for me??

Is anyone else experiencing low speaker volume when in a call, compared to stock ROM?
The speaker volume in calls seems nice and loud for me. But then again, I cant remember the last time I used a stock ROM to compare it against so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

I'm using the Nebula kernel with this ROM which I believe does allow for tweaks like speaker volume override. I'd give it a try. :)

I am using it now and yes it works great. Click on the link and the thread will tell you everything you need to know.
Cool, I'm actually not using this ROM I'm using Resurrection MM ROM but it should be the same right?

Where do I get the Nebula kernel btw I searched through this entire thread.
