I assume you mean in the Ginger Sense 3.5 Dusk keyboard Blue file? If so.... isn't that the main file that has all the new dialer mods?

no its not that, browse your phone with root explorer, navigate to /system/app
look for HTC_IME.apk and HTC_IME.odex , delete HTC_IME.odex

fonts color is in smali KeyboardView.smali and Port20KeySIPView.smali (thanks to danweb66 from evo 3d forum)
xml remained the same.
I wrote about editing .9.png few pages back too

I gave more patching length (top line) so android can reduce lenght too.
In keyboard cases if png longer then (somewhere around) 46px,android will compress it.
If its less then (lets say) 40px,android will stretch it
