Motorola Admiral - Latest ROOT Guide - January 2013

What slightly different commands? There was no link in your post.

Also trying to root a Moto Admiral, this would be greatly appreciated.

Bringing back threads from the dead ...

Motorola Admiral XT603 - Lazy people's root !! Works on the most recent update from January 2013 - 55.11.79 ... see attached RAR file, inside you will find MotoROOT.bat.

Anyone with the Admiral that lost root during recent software upgrade, just run the file in Administrator Mode. It will do all the rooting for you. More detailed instructions were posted here.

Good luck.

If there's no custom recovery and backup, I'm afraid you need to reflash stock via Odin..

Hi Im in England and I have a SII on T-mobile UK , it has Tmobile branding and has some issues, mainly connectivity via the SIM card, which I have tested in another SII which didnt show such issues. Basically my SII never goes to H, only 3G if Im lucky. Then it will suddenly give me a page not found and no connection. When I first had it I think it was fine, but an update was applied automatically and since then it has been working intermittently. Its as if the update knocked out the modem-I can only really use it viw WiFi. Which makes it unusable away from the house. We submitted the phone to the Tmobile store (now EE) but it came back the same only factory reset.
Is there a kernel I can put on it which will fix this issue?

I notice in the compatibilty list this entry:
Samsung Galaxy S II for T-Mobile (SGH-T989), I guess this is applicable to my device?
I have rooted devices in the past but I hear the SII is a little more complicated!
Any help gratefully received!

Any support for the Walkman Z?

Android 4.0.4; Kernel: 2.6.39.4

I assume that the Tablet S ICS-ROM is identical to the Walkman Z-ROM, but the player can't get root from the toolkit.

If additional files needed, Like a system dump? I can supply files.

Any idea for Hcl me u2

No developers is coming to give a tutorial for rooting HCL ME U 2 ...pkease give us a tutorial to root that device... Can we root or not? You devs have given many rooting procedure for many devices and its a shame that we cannot root a small budget device...that is Hcl....Even Doomlord cant do it? tried zergrush and other methods but none roots...

I had the same problem with my Xperia Active. what I did it was to turn the antivirus software off(avg), then tried again and worked fine, after the procces turn avg back on. It might be the same problem you are having.
Hope that works for you.

I made bash version. Tried it on a MacBook running OS X Lion with a Nexus S running 2.3.6 and it works.

Download the original package and extract the script from the following zip to that folder and run it.

    Memory Crash Method

no problem... just detail out the process/steps i will link to it :)

So far tested for i9100G version

    Method 1 : DooMLoRD's Easy Rooting Toolkit
     Download the toolkit first
    (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1321582)
     Replace the "runme.bat" with this edited "runme.bat" (http://db.tt/H28lkghK)
 Tick USB debugging (settings->Applications->Development), if unticked before
     Tick Unknown sources (settings->Applications)
 Using windows task manager, "end task" ADB.exe and all KIES related software if running
 Connect phone using provided cable, ADB driver for the phone will be installed automatically assuming you have installed KIES first
     Double click the "runme.bat"

    Memory Crash Method
If not succeed, please reboot it manually as it will not reboot automatically after the last unsuccessful script. Now add these extra steps :
 Same like above, do not run the script yet
 Now run applications from your phone, any applications will do, and close them with HOME button, not the BACK button
 Run as many applications as you can, check with "Task Manager", the RAM usages should be at least 500mb and above
     Now run the "runme.bat"
 Result : rooted (Superuser) only
