Hello Dr Ketan,

Thanks for the feedback, I admit that for me this is the only negative point on the S23 Ultra, I keep all my phones on my phone, also having a backup on external hard drives, but this represents more than 200go,So if we have to format completely before the installation of the new version as it is often the case, we have to copy everything after, really not practical, can be I also look with G drive, thanks in any case and soon the T06, too top.

Why you needs to copy full 200GB data to clean install ROM?
To clean install you can select Factory Reset option from TWRP which will keep you media file as it is. Full Format only requires when you move between ROM with Encrypted/Decrypted data.
Though occassional full backup is fine.
Also I suggest you to use Folder Sync app this will Sync and copy your existing data to Ext SD which are changed only, so lot faster to make increment backup.

I think I need to go back through and do a full data wipe tonight. I didn't do a full format at beginning of this install and I've had issue after issue with installing apps. After installing delta it not only doesn't open it, even though I hid it, it marks as not usable on this device

That's best way as you have some other issue as well. I recommend only ROM default Magisk Stable. I have 0 issue with stable and I am sure majority of users might br using stable only. Also reccomended to avoid any such mods/module that mess up with system apps.

If it is magisk related then nothing much can be done at rom level. May be look at in magisk hide thread if someone have similar issue and/or fix
I ended up doing a full wipe and then everything installed and hid correctly. I had not done a full format since out of the box, I'm sure that was the issue. It was user related. Thank you for your quick reply.

A bit of side question here:

I decided to try how is titanium backup today. I backed up an app and then tried to restore the TB backup. The app force closes after the restore.

So TB is completely dead now, right? Or is there some parts of it that are still usable?

@dr.ketan however put a Titanium backup FC fix in ROM Tool, which I haven't applied yet. Because I recon it fixes a FC of titanium backup itself. Or am I wrong?

Titanium backup is not worth now a days, I'd suggest alternative Swiftbackup
Yes TB fix in RT is to fix Force closing Titanium app itself.
Still you can try this
Make a folder com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup inside Int Storage/Android/media folder
And copy all your backup files in this folder
From titanium backup app preferences, set backup path as above
It should work
Still any app that is split apks won't work because titanium itself lacking apks (split apks) backup & restore
Now a days many apps are split apks and not apk
Swiftbackup perfectly deals with this.

Thank you doctor. I'll try. Please, try to answer 2 more questions:

1. Can TB at least restore data for the split apps?

2. When wiping data using SwiftBackup it also resets permissions, battery settings, special access settings and etc. So can we use TB to wipe data, before restore with SwiftBackup?

Because SwiftBackup makes a strange restore - it doesn't wipe data before restoring and some leftovers remain. He did this "because of games" so that scores remain.

But I think that this isn't very proper. I've seen settings of apps remain unchanged after SwiftBackup restore to a previous setup of an app. And this is not good.

1.Yes TB can restore data of split app
2.Usually I prefer to restore app+data only (avoid ext data, expansion, media etc)unless specifically I needed. which does same like TB so haven't experienced it
Thank you. Very useful information.

In the meantime I tried with /Android/media/com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup/

I tried with all 3 types of storage provider and it didn't work. After data restore, the app FC. Am I missing something else? Is it different in your side?

Sorry, haven't tried yet on S23, will try when time permits.
Just try to manually toggle permission of restored app meanwhile

World class!

I just rooted my S23 Ultra with T05 and everything works perfectly! As with my Note 10+ - my biggest thanks and respect to everyone who makes all this possible! Everything impeccable.

The only question I have is: Can't I see it or is there currently no way to avoid receiving this information for the bootloader warning when the cell phone is started?
It's not disturbing, I was just used to it from back then that this message never came. Thank you for everything!

Care to share your battery efficiency tips please?

debloat all apps that are not needed
disable all apps that cannot be debloated and are not needed
limit background processes for all apps you think are needed, either:

    - via the app's settings in Android
    or
    - via the battery settings in Android (there are more options, e.g. disable the background processes completely)

install magisk module "universal-gms-doze" to limit the background processes of google-play-service
set power mode of phone to "light" (battery and device maintenance -> battery -> advanced battery settings)
make sure in the developersettings that mobile data is turned off, if connected to wifi
assign a static IP in the wifi settings, if possible
disable "switch to better WLANs" in the advanced wifi settings
activate "WLAN energy saving mode" in the advanced wifi settings
disable "Automatically connect to Hotspot 2.0 WLANs" in the advanced wifi settings
in connections -> mobile networks disable 5g ("connect LTE/3g/2g automatically")

    Tasker:

    Create profiles to e.g.:

    - With DND enabled (10pm - 7am for me) and screen off, enable airplane mode and reactivate when screen is turned back on.
    - With VoWifi available turn on airplane mode/wifi and turn off airplane mode again when wifi is not connected

I may have forgotten one or two things, but these are the most important steps (for me)
It depends of course on your use of the phone, whether the steps are useful

    @dr.ketan

    Only for my understanding.
If I am on your latest ROM version T07, it is not necessary to store and keep your older ROM versions (T06 etc.), because there is no way to to downgrade the ROM/Firmware except they have same bootloader? ...and propably this behavior won't change in the future?
You should able to downgrade as far as bootloader revision remain same. For example base of T07 is S918BXXS1AWD1
Here 9th digit is binary revision (1 in above value)
You can downgrade to other version as far as this 9th digit version remain same

Guys I have problems regarding youtube videos buffering using revanced provided in ROM tool, anyone facing this too? And found a solution?
I have fast and consistent internet and checked with regular YouTube before flashing this rom worked fine so that shouldn't be the problem.
    Yes revanced have issue
I will prepare new version and include in next version
June patch should be on the way

Received my s23 ultra last Thursday and flashed it directly with DrKetan T07. The installation and setup of the rom was smooth and the rom works perfectly! Even my banking apps work without me having to freeze magisk. Anyway i am very happy with the phone/rom

I want to make a fresh and clean installation of t07 rom.
    Actulay I'm under t06 version.
    How can i do ?

    does i need to:
    - install TWRP,
    - clear data user, and wipe full data

before install the t07 version ?
Straightway Flash T07 (Use CSC file from stock firmware of your region if it is not from OXM grousp)
Reboot to TWRP (It should auto reboot to TWRP after flashing ROM, if no, do manually) → Factory Reset/Format data as per your liking) → Reboot to System → Install Magisk apk → Open and complete additional setup → Reboot → Apply ROM Tool Essential Fix

PS : You can find all details in Installation Guide.

    Installation, Important Infos & Download

    Installation
: State of the art Installation procedure.

    • Only needed is supported device + Unlocked bootloader.
    • No needs to have device rooted/Installed TWRP/update device to specific base
Detailed installation guide separately available in download area along with ROM files.

    WARNING

Before you root your device you must be aware that

    • This will void warranty.
    • As of now you will lose Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass forever if you root once, even unrooting won't help.
    • There are many features stop working when you unlock bootloader other than S pay/Pass like Samsung Health, Secure Folder, Galaxy Watch pairing issue, Issue connecting old gear watch (S3 or earlier), Google Pay etc but ROM is patched for all these mentioned features. Still you may trouble using some bank apps and these may fixed by adding these apps to Magisk Hide
    • There may be some knox features there which you may not able to use but I can't list those as I never used. Just Google It
    • Patched featurs are working today when writing this, No idea if it may stop working next moment/tomorrow or later
    • Also to note, once you root, you can't go back to "pre-rooted" state completely. It is one way!
    • OTA won't work on rooted device.
    • ROOT with caution.
    • On unlocking bootloader you will have warning screen while device boot and as of now no workaround to hide. Though it can be removed with re flashing stock rom + re locking bootloader
    • You can unroot & Relock bootloader after flashing stock firmware, but still your warranty flag remain 0x1 and most of countries it still voids warranty. Also after unrooting & relocking bootloader, some knox features never work again.
ROM Tool permission : Files & media - To save and read files, Calendar - Tool needs some time monitoring to avoid using RT immediately after reboot. Special access for accessibility service - Since Android 12 it requires for QS panel custom Toggl e.g. Reboot to recovery

    Important Announcement for T06 release

I am holding T06 because of Magisk 26.0 stable release just released. T06 test version is based on Magisk 25.2, one can install (update) to 26.0 easily but ROM Tool and Tweaks will have multiple things broken because of some changes in Magisk 26.0
    I will re-release T06 with built-in Magisk 26.0.
@ Test users of T06 : Please don't update to magisk 26.0 else you may have multiple things broken.
    12
Testing T06 (WC8) with April 23 security patch

There will be two test version of ROM Encrypted and Decrypted data
If there will be some positive review for Encrypted data version then I may public release.
