A week after installing all those new panels, camera and panel manager, my X1 is using more memory (normally 40-50%, sometimes 75%, no programs running). It's more unstable, meaning more resets from under the battery cover.

The Media Panel is very very slow for me, it can't play a 400x240 video smoothly while core player can, even the menu animation will lag. The panel will remain loaded in memory. It's good because it will play music in the background (but you can't control it while in other panels), it's bad because it takes more memory doing nothing.

The growing panel makes my whole phone slow and eats the battery fast.

But maybe I also intstalled something else which is causing all of this, I don't know...

Even with the final On The Road panel - night mode doesn't do anything and I can't select a Navigator software - the menu button doesn't do anything for me.

Anyway, these versions have some good improvements but I will wait for the official R3 ROM, hopefully I won't have these memory leaks, lagging, phone blocking etc.

I'm actually missing the Task Manager drop down menu from all panels, whereas I used to have the drop down menu available on all panels except PointUI. I'm finding this more than just irritating as only the boring 'today' screen still retains the Task Manager menu. Uninstalling the new panels manager just brings about a broken panelsmanager.exe error, does anyone have the old version for us to install or do we have flash the ROM?

I had this problem, i kept rebooting the device until it didnt lock up on the standard today screen, then reinstalled the new panel manager again. I tried to find the original panel manager, but apart from the first link in the 1st post couldnt find another R2A original.

Also I am have problems installing the new media xperiance panel, install cancels immediately, I do have the original media planel installed though.

I also find that after reboot, my x1 will often crash as soon as the panel manager is loaded... although i can get growing panel to work fine, could be because i installed the files incorrectly?

So far I stick only to the "official" panels and have no troubles. On the road panel works fine.
Anyone to know how to change the default navigation option in the navigation panel?
I mean - Google Maps as a car navigation? Really?

On the road work great.
It's not possible change the map programs.
It will be great if there is a way to know the max speed also.
However the difference between the beta version are that the maps image in history have to be download manually, and they aren't sent by mail.

Which one sends them by mail ??
Beta or final ??

Installed the newpannel manager and the new Media Panel and all works fine. I also installed the the FM radio panel and it is incoporated into the new Media Panel which is working fine.

I am using itje's latest ROM 5.04 (without Opera) and everything is working fine, including the new panel manager and active x programs.

I need some help. My panel button is not working anymore. I installed the new panel manager and active x but didn't soft reset it, so I uninstalled it and reinstalled after softreset each time. Is there a way to go back to the original panel manager? Thanks

Uninstall the new panel manager ans soft reset immediately
Your original files should be restored (unless you installed the new one twice, then you'll need to hard reset)

Ok, i had to hard reset and restore everything back. I installed the active x first, soft reset, new panel manager, soft reset, and the panel is not coming up after pressing the button. I didn't install any programs/panels yet. It just stays at the today screen.

For some reason I cant install the media xperience panel. I have the new panel manager and the activex thing. But when I run the cab file, it says install was unsuccessful. Can anybody tell me if I'm missing something?

Is it like an upgrade for the previous media xperience panel? Because I uninstalled that.

For those people that have managed to get all the panels working? What sort of conditions was the phone? was fresh from a hard reset? Were there anything else installed like custom icons, keyboard, panels? Im going to hard reset my phone and see what we get!

I managed to get the new panel manager working...apparently had to kept pressing the x button a few times to get it loaded. Once it first loaded, had to only press it once. Now I am unable to install the new xperience panel but was able to install the CNN panel.

I have the new XTRAKT game installed, maybe it has something to do with my good xperience with the new panels

And YES my phone froze 2 times today when launching the panel manager, but worked OK again after soft reset

After soft reset, boot time was longer than usual because it auto-returns to the last panel, at first I thought it was stuck at the standard "today" screen, but the second time I noticed I only had to wait a little until my last active panel was fully loaded

MXP panel works OK until I change panel, if I exit MXP I have to softreset to avoid slowing down - and again I have to wait a little watching the standard today screen until my newly selected panel auto-loads completely
