ok...tried to re-install it...got the New Media Panel cab file from the add-on pack of Xperia Gen II...(cant download via rapidshare...)

Confirmed New Media Panel Installation successful...thanks gtrab:)

I installed the new XperiaCamera and PanelManager said to be from the (soon, hopefully) upcoming R3A, including ActiveX deployment. I got them working after some tweaking related to having a non-English stock ROM (R2A). So I now have the auto flash and geotag working with the camera and I also have the new panel manager working. Very nice.

I cannot, however, get the Growing and CNN panels working. They install nicely (tried both on the unit and on memory card), but they simply do not show up in the (new) panel manager. The other new panels, on-the-road, Skype and the new media xperience, work like a charm.

What could be wrong? The language of my ROM?

ROM: R2A
Language: Swedish (041d)
3rd pty apps: Plenty...
Xperia Panel Tweak: Installed but disabled
SDK certs: Not tried

Would you recomend installing all these panels as CAB, or to try flashing the ROM like some of you have?

If I install these panels now, when SE officially release the R3A, will it conflict/mess up my device?

So does this mean my Storage Card will also be wiped?

I'll have to make a backup of all my programs/apps then. Do I need to deactivate my SatNav software and reactive/reinstall once the update has happened?

no only your phone storage .. your SD card remains intact.

after a ROM upgrade, you need to reinstall your apps again. You may backup your software and restore, but I would usually not recommend that because you may be restoring a outdated files, unless you are restoring non-system files.

with new Panels Manager TF3DHDB2 Panel won't work anymore

just hangs with the Loading screen, when activated....

anybody guess what might be the prob?

Any suggestions?

how to install new PanelManager on German ROM

installed it , had several probs because it creates new folder named Program Files instead of installing into my German Path (Programme) just copied all the files into the german programfolder, and it runs properly.

Still have Problems to run TF3DHDB2 in Panel Mode. Panel won't start. All the other Panels work correct.... is their a work around.

i would use TF3D as TodayScreen, but i need to run Spb Diary and PhoneAlarm
on the today screen. So i either have to provide a second Today Screen, or Panel for either one.

help me anyone please?

after i install the new media xperience it seems i cant play any songs... n da icons r clickin blinking... when im in TF3D da music icon juz keep sayin searching music... im using touch IT 5.04 ROM... some1 please help?!

Since the .CAB files are for a non-Swedish ROM they install to the root folder "Progam Files" while a Swedish ROM will execute program files from the root folder "Progam". The installation of the R3A versions of XperiaCamera and PanelManager must therefore be moved to "Program", making sure they replace all files there. In addition, the XperiaCamera needs to have the file name of the language file (in the "Language" folder) renamed just as was the case for the YouTube panel (from *0401*.dll to *041d*.dll for Swedish). This rename only makes the R3A XperiaCamera app work under the Swedish ROM - the UI is still in English (the pictures you take from now on will end up in the folder structure "Camera" rather than "Kamera", etc.)

I had no problems installing the Active X deployment. Atleast not any that I am aware of...
