Okay, found a new problem. It probably has something to do with the market, but I'm not really sure. In short, here's what I've encountered: while playing a "freemium" game (by GameInsight), if I try to purchase anything (for the game), the Playstore returns an error. After contacting GameInsight, they told me the problem was with the way the Playstore handled purchases. Looking all over the place, this seems to be a fairly common issue with JB. I attempted to sideload a couple of different versions of Google Wallet (thinking that might resolve the issue), but can't get any of them to install. Does anyone know of a possible solution to this problem? Thanks!

Runs with Magldr doesn't run with Haret

Guys,
I am getting frustrated. I did run the ROM since a couple of months in NAND. Battery drain is quiet heavy so I decided to go back to WM 6.5 and run this Paranoid from SD. Whatever I tried, I didn't get the Haret start out of the reboot as described in the first few posts. I then installed Magldr 1.134 again and I get it running, but of course without WM 65.
Does this ROM work with Haret start or not?
Thanks for help.
BTW: one major reason to use WM6 is the rSAP function which did not work for me in Droid....

Tom,
thanks for the quicky. The bloody thing is even with the nativeSD process it tells me:
finding, opening and installing update packge, and then:
installation aborted...
the native JB version is working fine...
Dietmar

ps: if i am not mistaken the pa.... is the chenged version, already downloading, and btw: the rsap program is not working with my car unfortunately. I report when its up.
Thx again

Tom,
I got it up and running with the NativeSD method (and no, I haven't unzipped :D).
I could also get most apps etc back via Titanium Pro, but I am very disaappointed by the laggyness of this setup. I say setup because I believe this has nothing to do with the ROM itself, but maybe with my SD card (which is a Transcend 8GB Class 6 card) or other settings.
I will try to run the upgrade and see if the new method works better, but if not I will move away to another solution. This would be a pity because overall I loved this ROM as NAND (if only battery drain wouldn't be that heavy - and heavy means that after using 1 hour heavy usage I was down to 25% off a fully charged battery....)
If you got tipps why it could be so laggy, would appreciate.

NativeSD Card

maybe with my SD card ...

Dietmar - it would be unfair of me to criticise a particular SD card but I would suggest that you look at comparing the two cards you have in your signature: Sandisk 16GB class2 and 8GB class 6 and let us know which performs better with NativeSD.
Try searching for the two card manufacturers on the xda hd2 Android SD forum:
For example you should see this post by adrian.shepard on SD Cards and this post by securecrt in the HTC Leo: HD2 > HD2 Android > HD2 Android SD Development > [26 SEP 2012][DEV]NativeSD Rom Boot Script for HD2.
If anyone who is feeling the NativeSD ROM is slower than NAND version pls change your SDCARD to Sandisk UHS-1 class10.
I am slowly reporting results of comparable tests running various NativeSD ROMs from WM6.5 haret SanDisk Class 4 using Androbench and AnTuTu - for example in this post of mine . If you have time to post your laggy results that would inform all of us.
Cheers
Tom

I just installed this, and already have a problem. I searched for a solution in this thread, but couldn't find an answer. After installing, I copied my data.ext4 file to the pa folder. One app isn't working, though, and it is particularly vital. Titanium Backup won't work, and when I try to reinstall, the system tells me there isn't enough memory, even though I have over 500mb available space in the data.ext4 file. Does anyone know of a solution to this problem? Thanks!

PARANOID JELLYBEAN HD2 BETA v2.15 portadroid

For the 'stable' ICS version of paranoid android check 2nd post !

This rom is based on the great work of team paranoidandroid
and the Evervolv Nightlies from Evervolv team so all credits and thanks to them in the first place !

remember this ROM is BETA for a reason.. expect some bugs and stuff not working !

This is an ongoing developer project to make way for a modification that will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the experience of your phone.
For more information about PARANOIDANDROID please check this website

    Features :
    Phone, Tablet and Phablet mode
P.A.L., First time in Android history that Per-App-Layout has been realized
This rom features a setting called Per-App-Density. You can define an apps native DPI with it, make it look stock, smaller or bigger than that, your decision.
All apps are depicted at DPI 182 per standard. No other rom has that feature right now
Google Play does not allow density changes and will stop working if you mess around with that. This rom fixes that problem for you 100%.
More stuff: Recents window closer to stock, fixes for overlapping elements, framework fixes, no crashes, working Phone (looks 100% like stock aswell), etc.

Note that first boot will take about 10 mins (depending on size of data.ext4 created) and will end with the phone rebooting. Second boot will take less time and will show the boot animation (as opposed to portadroid screen in first boot). You are porting this build, it is so that some apps are put in data.ext4 file. You can safely delete root_tmp folder after second boot to save space. Remember to reboot x3

There is no data.ext4 included, as a fresh install is recommended.
If haret booting, change startup.txt/data.size to whatever you like.
    If magldr- default is 512mb

it seems that a folder is missing in /data
existing build users can use an android terminal emulator app and type the following commands
    Code:
    su
    cd /data
    mkdir app-asec
    exit
    exit

Here is another way to apply the fix if you are not familiar with terminal emulator app,use root browser lite or something similar.

Open root browser, now click on /data, now add a folder called app-asec. DONE(Thanks wis1152)

    Thanks to Xylograph for fix

quote molesarecoming: This is an ongoing developer project to make way for a modification that will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the experience of your phone. This rom strives to drop your device into tablet mode, but it won't stop there, it will reshape and redefine ICS to make it all a usefull addition and not just a cute novelty. i'm calling it: Hybrid Mode, best of both worlds.

You're asking yourself how exactly does this rom differ from "tablet mode roms" then, here's a quick status report:
•Tablet mode shrinks your apps into a tiny mush, this rom features a setting called Per-App-Density. You can define an apps native DPI with it, make it look stock, smaller or bigger than that, your decision. All apps are depicted at DPI 182 per standard. No other rom has that feature right now
•It has a working Market. Google Play does not allow density changes and will stop working if you mess around with that. This rom fixes that problem for you 100%.

and have a look at either molesarecoming Galaxy Nexus thread or D4rKn3sSyS Galaxy S2 thread.
