10.1.0.123

I'm on EMUI 10.1 version .123 right now
The only issue I've had is Always on display would not work at all at the start, even after turning off and on phone again, eventually it worked

Extra changes i've noticed
In the display settings, on 10.0 the two different screen options were called HD or HD+ ( may have been FullHD or FullHD+ ) where as on 10.1 they are called low or high
In WiFi settings, instead of there being 3 vertical dots in the top right to access more Wifi settings, it has changed to a tab below the WiFi toggle simply called More settings
The Always on display now has the new clock styles as well as colour changes based on time of day
With the home screen, on 10.0 when you pulled down to search, the search panel would fade into view as the home screen faded out but on 10.1 the home screen is pushed downwards instead
With the recents panel, on 10.0 closing an open up showed a swipe-up/fade-out effect , on 10.1 the open app falls backwards similar to a domino falling over
Also with the recents panel, there is a window symbol in the top right of every open app which will change the app into a floating window
If using gestures, pulling out from the right or left and holding for 1-2 seconds then let go will display an app panel similar to Samsung, when an app is tapped on, it will open up in a small window
If you are already inside an app and you drag an app icon from the app panel discussed above, dragging the app icon to the top or bottom will launch multi-window

Select 'Clear data' then it opens up 'Factory reset' or 'Wipe cache partition'.
Sometimes I get the button freezes but the options can also be touch-selected on the screen.
I never have the button freezes on my Mate 20 X.

Thanks for your help. I have cleared cache partition. I hope it will help with my battery drain.

After the update, the phone drains 1% every hour on idle. Before the update it drains 1% every 5-6 hours on idle.

The same on my phone. I am very disappointed.
Have you tested to send music over bluetooth? My P30 will be warm and drain battery a lot.

I used dload to install 123 on my P30 and after that method battery life is amazing. During normal upgrade using Hicare or Hisuite proxy battery life was same as on emui 10.0. average.
It looks like that format during dload flashing fix issues with battery consumption.

10.1 patch makes my garmin watch work again, without having to remove powergenie app. Awsome.

What do you mean with dload? You mean flash via nm memory card or USB OTG cable? or you mean OTA? How can you downgrade without factory reset and full rollback via Hisuite? Can you just rollback via Hisuite Proxy without losing data - then OTA update?

my battery life is super poor now. 2 hours DOT and 8 hours standby to drain it down to 10%. 2-3 hours after wipe cache everything gets laggy - and phone is warm all the time. 2-3% drain per hour sleeping. Phone is more or less bricked this way. I updated to 10.1 via OTA - then installed patch 05 directly afterwards via HiSuite Proxy...

Does anyone have problems with Android auto after upgrading to emui 10.1 ?? Before that I had no problems but now it doesn't connect it just makes chime sound and then automatically disconnects .
Is there a solution to solve the problem with Android auto ?

10.1.0.123 - Anyone else having trouble with pihole after updating?

Hi,

I recently updated my phone to 10.1.0.123 and I noticed, that my phone does not use my pihole-setup to block ads on wifi and on openvpn to my home network when I am on 4g anymore. Even when I force wifi settings to use the ip of my pihole-installation as dns-server, no ads are blocked. Has anyone else experienced such behaviour or even has a solution? Any other device connected to my home wifi is working as expected.

I know there are a few users with the same problem out there (see german forum https://www.android-hilfe.de/forum/...1-0-123-keine-werbefilterung-mehr.951185.html) but - until now - without solution.

Workaround ist to block Google DNS IPs via static ip4 routes (in my fritzbox).

Agree with you. Updating via download and wiping data hasn't made a difference. My phone is a year old now so I wonder if poor battery life is due to age.

Don't blame the battery, it's OK. It's firmware fault, i can confirm for 2 phones (mine & wife's) + more than 10 users in PM that complained about poor battery life on EMUI 10.1 v123/v126....

Guess we'll have to wait for new firmware with battery lofe improvments..

You can write on Huawei forum or Support page from UK, as i did in RO. Spoken with them on WhatsApp (from Support APP), sent them an email to support from Huawei in RO and also in official Facebook / forum posted about two problems:
1. Crescendo ringtone
2. Battery life

I encourage you to do the same

OK I got the update yesterday.... Now I can't use the split screen knuckle gesture.... Did the disable it,?

I disabled the side bar already, I want back the knuckle swipe across the screen to slpit it

I have noticed something new with 10.1: if you use the shortcut to launch the camera (double press volume down button when the screen is off) it briefly displays the launch time (0.8 s, 0.6 s etc.).

Hi there! I am late to security patch and I have noticed a strange behavior when clicking icons in main screen, I mean for example the apps in the dock if I have telegram, when I tap on it, it opens chrome or any other app! Also bluetooth sound while playing videos is pretty bad.
