Edit: I seen to have fixed the 2D view only problem below by reinstalling Maps. Will test out fully when I drive tomorrow.

Edit Edit: I make a real trip with this fix and for the most part it works. I did lose GPS fix for a few seconds when driving about 45 mph but quickly regained it. The GPS fix is way more stable than just flashing the updated Vision driver (V3).

Hey Jayshocka. I already have the GPS Vision Driver 1.1 (filename w/ V3) installed. I flashed your GPS_FIX_Flashable_Alt.zip on top of that and asked Navigator to navigate me to a destination a few miles away and drove around the block.

The fix is solid. I never lose GPS lock BUT the perspective of NAV has changed.

Before, hitting the blue Arrow icon gave me a first person 3D perspective. Now all I can see is a top down 2D view.

How do I get the GPS fix and keep the normal first person 3d view?

hey rope I'm trying to get this thing on my eve and all is good until i go to the step
"Click "tweaks", select SD Cards, change your io scheduler from bfq to deadline, click boot settings, select Re-apply SD tweak and select init.d script. exit system tuner."

i go into system tuner and under sd cards there is no place to change the scheduler like in the images. it just seems to be missing. if anybody knows anything about this much help is appreciated. looks legit man great work

EDIT: decided to start over a few times and now it somehow appeared. weird. will report back to see how it runs.

I found it in sonnysekhons ics theme thread. Daxelectro linked to someone who posted it (that's about the best credit I can give ATM,), but apparently its from source, so I don't feel I'm slighting anyone by not being able to give perfect credit ATM.
I like it ;)

Edit: drop in system/app, set permissions and reboot. Enjoy.

No need with incredicontrol. It doesn't stay stuck. If you hit a level it can't handle and your phone locks up it will automatically revert to stock on reboot checked or not.

No ****!? That's crazy! I can't imagine how something could be so intuitive, in fact, I'm a bit afraid to trust it ;)

Thanks though. For real.

Thanks for posting this. I am trying it right now. :) I have always liked android keyboards when it comes to just a tapping keyboard, and this is only making my believe stronger.

Well that was painless! Thanks for the write up and all the hard work. Definitely seems smoother/faster. Few questions to satisfy my curiosity though... How does this differ from say, SuperCharger? If for some crazy reason we ever wanted to undo these changes, would uninstalling Rom ToolBox and System Tuner do the trick?

those apps can be used for much more than just what I did with them. ROM toolbox? I couldn't ever imagine getting rid of the app but yeah, that would do. Better yet, uncheck save at boot fir the oom and sysctl settings in rtb, do the same to the io scheduler change you made in system tuner and reboot. V6 completely runs off of the installation of various scripts which get placed in your /init.d and /data folders. Like I said v6 has more options available. V6 has a lot of code. V6 uses completely different sysctl numbers. There you go.

I'd love to hear if that works, cuz I gave up in that app over a year ago. Transfers always failed.

Thanks. And good luck.

Yeah the earlier versions didn't really agree with my netbook Bluetooth dongle. It seems after some recent updates it works fine.

have you tried hitting the compass (red and white arrow) at the top left of the screen?

Did you at any point uninstall street view? Or is that not what you're referring to by 3d?

I have seen in the market screenshots a kind of 3d view thats not (satellite video) street view, but don't think I've ever used it.
Or yeah, the compass toggle, as was already mentioned.

No problem. I like "tap" keyboards. I can't stand swype. I can tap much faster. That said, anyone using this, I no longer see a mic for voice input. I don't see it in keyboard settings, like GB KB. Am I missing something? Anyone else?
Thanks.

WTH is this LEE tiamat kernel? how is it different from the original?

HTC Evo 4G | Deck AOSP 2.3.7 | Tiamat 4.0.5-sbc
Tiamat 3.3.7 is LEE kernel, they say it kicks butt like Bruce Lee. I once saw Chuck Norris flinch when the LEE kernel was mentioned, just saying.
