Well yeah. lol. Jon would be in deep **** if he started theming and handing out the XDA premium app all willy nilly. lol.I do see the app in the update, but I guess because I have XDA premium it hasn't changed mine. Is there a way to use this mod with the premium app
Yea, but we can give out a themed bought app. You would have to do that yourself..Well yeah. lol. Jon would be in deep **** if he started theming and handing out the XDA premium app all willy nilly. lol.
OK that makes perfect sense. Too bad us folks who have paid for the premium version cant get it though. Love the theme. Great work and much thanks to all involved.Well yeah. lol. Jon would be in deep **** if he started theming and handing out the XDA premium app all willy nilly. lol.
lol! Thanks a lot for that man. But, I do hope you didn't take my comment as me trying to fish for recognition or anything. It was only made in fun, just so you know that. Thanks for the tutorial credit given in the op thanks again

I feel pretty much the same way here. It's that rare case where we kinda get punished for paying for an app! lol About the only thing I can think of is for all of us to start theming. Ha! If it were only that easy.OK that makes perfect sense. Too bad us folks who have paid for the premium version cant get it though. Love the theme. Great work and much thanks to all involved.

Not at all, I was wanting to credit you from the time I read your post. Your comment just refreshed my memory.what is the difference in the apps xda premium vs freelol! Thanks a lot for that man. But, I do hope you didn't take my comment as me trying to fish for recognition or anything. It was only made in fun, just so you know that.By the way, have you noticed that the font change has an unexpected but (to me at least) pleasing side effect. It also changes the font of the big awesome Sense weather widget. Looks pretty damn cool with your font.
I actually use Tapatalk rather than xda. Visually, not much difference though, if any at all.Not at all, I was wanting to credit you from the time I read your post. Your comment just refreshed my memory.what is the difference in the apps xda premium vs free

You would have to install the other after your flashed the theme.Tapatalk is for almost all forums and xda is just xda...
Jon, you can't replace the gmail app. I wanted to install one silver and Fernando did for me, but after a reboot, its back to yours.

Unless I am missing the point.

Well, it was working pre 2.7 so things must have changed on Jons end. Ill check into that after I get this weather lockscreen done.Check the install locations of.the one done for you. I wld imagine that maybe both gmails are installed in diff locations?

No bullshit man. lol. I install my copy of Gmail and everything is cool. My themed Gmail is there and working perfect. I restart my phone and I end up with Jons themed light blue Gmail BACK on my phone. I use the same icon from within my apps and everything. Not sure what the deal is, but Im not the only one seeing it. lol. Its one of those weird ass poltergeist deals man.A theme can't reinstall itself bro.
What are you seeing? Is the silver one gone or is it part Jon's and part silvers?
Things that cant change. There are parts of the theme that Gmail uses, that you can't change becuase it's part of the framework and resources that is themed. So thinks like icons and such will still come over from Jon's.. Can't be undone unless you get rid of Jons theme completely.

Edit: ok I installed normally again and it disappeared again so I renamed my gmail to the same as the one in system/apps, fixed permissions and rebooted. Weird.
This solution worked great. Thanks. To all:
For those installing themed Gmail (or any other themed app) The Gamil app is acting exactly as it should. Upon installing another themed Gmail, it will be usable and appear that all is well. Upon reboot it goes back to Dark Horse's or Stock Gmail app?
Well it's not the ROM's or the themes fault at all. If you get a themed app(or in this case) Silver's gmail inverted, you will notice that his name of his apk is "Test_blue_inverted_GM something something. Well when you install this is install as such and the adndroid system will link to that one without a reboot. Thi sis correct and completely normal. Where the problem you perceive as the ROM's or theme's problem is simple. Both the ROM and Theme use the correct naming stucture called Gmail.apk, Silvers does not. So upon reboot the icon links to Gmail as it should, which in effect to you it apears that the old one re-installed itself. It in fact did not.
Solution:
1. Rename Silver's Themed apk to Gmail.apk and it will overwrite the current one.
2. Uninstall gmail first then install Silver's.
Easy cheesy folks.
