10.5.1 bootloader options?

I have a KF2 that I've managed to root with KingRoot, and I'd like to get a custom ROM on it.

It's currently on firmware version 10.5.1, and all of the tools I've found for unlocking the bootloader and flashing TWRP seem to require a device on an earlier firmware.

I've heard that it's possible to flash an earlier version of the bootloader onto the device, but I have no idea where to get that file or exactly how the process of flashing it would go.

Any help?

Instructions in the first post on the kf2 2nd bootloader thread.

Files from post 545 *I think* from that same thread.

With the latest bootloader you won't make it back into fire os. So make sure to have a ROM already on it.

PS make sure to boot into twrp first boot otherwise you'll be re flashing twrp.
