This is complete stock and made using my device tree from the cm10.1 source

Thank you for the quick reply!

I apologize but not being a programmer I don't really know what that means.

Are you saying you compile these from CyanogenMod 10 source code? Or are you saying the CWM Recovery compiled by arif-ali is not stock (what exactly is a stock recovery)?

I am just trying to figure out which one I should be using and why..

What with TWRP?
Official TWRP is in TemaWin github (not the CM one): https://github.com/TeamWin/Team-Win-Recovery-Project/

And we have official TWRP compiled by kokotas: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1292146

Is it yours somehow different from official one?

Yes but you have to put it in the cm tree to compile it and that's not the latest version that's 2.4.0.0 and I don't think its official because its not on the Leo wiki on team win website

The TWRP compiled from the main line has several problems on HD2 (magldr boot restore, split backup... ), which kokotas fixed in his build. But in the HD2 world there is no other recovery that can be compared with kokotas Extended TWRP - CWM restore, NativeSD Manager, Run Script, DataOnExt and much, much more.

I guess I am not supposed to understand the difference. I just looked at the TeamWin site again and the official (?) version of the HD2 is listed as "openrecovery-twrp-leo-2.1.1.img" which suggests to me version 2.1.1. The version I am currently using is 2.4.1.0 which also supports Tytung's (and others') DataOnEXT option among other things. So, without additional information I shall continue as I have been. :)

I guess that is what I was, sort of, trying to say.
