If you own an Android device, you can get 10 Terabytes completly free and synchronized.
I doubt there is something similar out there.
Tencent (do you know QQ?) is the company behind this 'aberration' and there are no tricks nor referrals. You simply need to register an account and install the application in a mobile device.
I've written a 'small' review where I explain how to deal with the sign up process as it's only available in Chinese language!!!
The post it's written in Spanish but you can easily translate to English,
I provide some translations for the desktop application in Spanish too, but other people has their own translation to English, so playing with the software will be more understandable.

If you are confident with this Chinese company, take a look to this offer and take advantage of this huge amount of free disk space!!!

Edit: These are the steps to get 10 TB and have both, desktop and mobile applications in either, English/Spanish language

  1. Sign for a QQ account here: http://www.weiyun.com/act/10t.html?WYTAG=weiyun.portal.index. Use some online translator coz it's in Chinesse.
  2. Once you are done, go to your cloud drive here http://www.weiyun.com/disk/index.html and check the disk space. It is normal that you only have a few GB but shortly you will receive 1 TB free space (If not, you probably need to install the desktop application)
  3. Install the desktop application. There is only Chinesse language available but in my blog http://imahgin.blogspot.com.es/2013/10/10-terabytes-gratis-en-la-nube-y.html I explain how to deal with the installation process.
  4. Download and install translation files.
  5. To get 10 TB you need to install the mobile application and sign in.
  6. Wait a little bit and check your disk space. It should be now 10TB!!!!

Edit 25-11-13: Updated apk with a lot of texts fixed

- English: 1.6.0.360 251113
- Spanish: 1.6.0.360 251113

Edit 18-01-14: Thx to @imapk whe now have the latest version 2.0 with new texts translated (apk):
- English: http://d-h.st/FIX
- Spanish: http://d-h.st/Ry4

- English: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50477263&postcount=56 Thx to @IM0001

- English: https://copy.com/lRO3kd7j4JPH

OK you've signed up and got 10tb.

Now try to upload a file over 200mb.

Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk Pro

If you read carefully my blog (I know it's in Spanish and automatic transllation don't do the work fine) you'll see that you can upload up to 300 MB from your web browser. For larger files (up to 2 GB) you need to install a plugin.

  1. Close your web browser
  2. Download and install this plugin
  3. Open the web browser and try to upload the file again

I've tried it out with Chromium and it works like a charm (see attached picture)

An alternative method is this (I didn't tried it out but I guess it will work):
  • Copy the file to your local synchronized folder.
  • Let the sync software do the job and wait till the file is uploaded to the cloud.
  • From your desktop application go to advanced config (in the second tab) and uncheck the file already uploaded (this will prevent the file to be synchronized)
  • Delete the file from your local drive. You will keep the file in the cloud :)

10 TB?
Seems quite unbelievable, but it works for now, i received the free storage...
I'm just wondering how long they'll leave that amount of space available, i don't think there's any kind of warranty on it.
Thanks for reporting ! :good:

Is a claim to draw customers. I guess they assume nobody will fill such huge amount of space
About warranties, I did not read the agreement when I signed up. Maybe some Chinese could translate for us the document :)
I'm using this cloud storage disk to replicate and synchronize my data so, if someday the service ends up, I'll keep my data in my local drive.
Anyway, keep in mind that Tencent is a big company with a big market. QQ is spreading all over the world so I hope they will keep their promise.

I have a better question.
Now try to upload a filve over 300mb and see how much it takes (note that the servers are located in China...).

400 KB/s is not enough for you?
Look at the attached picture. My upload rate is comprised between 300 and 450 KB/s. I uploaded 1.5 GB in less than 1.5h. And I'm not in China :)
Download rate for me is up to 5 MB/s !!!!

Hey, very good post, but anybody can transalte in english ?
thx

In my blog I explain how to partially translate to Spanish language but other guys did the same for English.
The problem is that not all the messages are in XML files so, there are some texts that can't be translated unless you hack the exe file :(

Now I'm trying to decompile and translate the apk for Android. I hope I could release an English version of the mobile application soon.
There are more than 900 phrases so it'll take me a while.

Hey bro! thank you very much for sharing. Yeah, the app is all in chinese so that's kind of useless for non-chinese speaking people. Like you, I speak spanish as my native language so the screenshots you posted helped me a lot :good:.
Hopefully we'll have a native android translation soon. Meanwhile I uninstalled the app from my phone, so I'll basically just use it as a backup cloud.

BTW: Can I share your post in HTC Desire C Forum? I'll give you credit, no problem.

Hola atomega!!!
No problem for sharing this post or the post in my blog. In fact, if you read the comments at the end of the post you'll realize that now we have the apk in Spanish!!! -All credits goes to Jean Carlos Concepcion-
Now I'm doing the same for english but I don't have too much free time so I'll need some more days.

I'll update OP when both apk are translated

Ok cool! I'll do it when I get home. Hey, do you know if Jean is a XDA member? I feel like I should go and thank him for the translation
I'll see if I can do the english translation and post it here so we have a unified thread.

Great find! Signing up now. But 10TB? WOW! Dropbox or GDrive is nothing compared to this one!

---

I think they have ran out of space. I only got 7gb after signing up and installing the app. Too bad...
