I am unable to pass safety net test.. It says CTS PROFILE MISMATCH. how to pass safety net test.

Also netflix not available in play store. Seems more like device certification issue due to custom rom... Any idea...

Edit 1 - got safety net test passed, but play store still has device not certified and netflix not compatible with your device.
Play Store certified state sometime gets stuck. Try clearing data (not just cache) for Play Store and that usually solves the issue. You won't loose anything apart from changed settings inside that app.

I can't even get basicIntegrity to pass yet.. Can I ask, did you do anything special or just enable magisk hide? I flashed the lineage rom and then realized it was rooted and flashed the addonsu-remove zip, now root checker says "not rooted" when magisk-hidden yet safetynet still doesn't like it..
Download props module and run with su for fix... Check out the method on page 20... Few old post.

Facing issue with wifi.

Though the phone is connected to wifi network, it say no internet. While other phone on same network are able to connect to internet.

This problem seems to be with connection to dual band routers only. Even switching from one band to other... Has same no internet issue.

Work fine with single band routers.

Are you using Magisk's built in verifier for SafetyNet? If so you should know it's been broken (Due to expired API key) and you need to use third party app until there is new version for Magisk.
Thanks everyone who replied to me! Turns out I was passing and was just fooled by magisk's built in verifier. I tested with "SafetyNet Test" and its fully passing! Thanks again! In case anyone else is wondering how I passed ctsProfile, I spoofed my fingerprint with the MagiskHidePropsConf module, as described here: https://github.com/Magisk-Modules-R...f/blob/master/README.md#not-passing-safetynet

For anyone out there still struggling to pass safety net Magisk recently patched the API issue in the latest Canary build. You still need to use the MagiskHidePropsConf module, but Canary build (22103) is letting me pass safety net.
Just noticed that build number contains userdebug....any idea when will that be removed, build name is one of the way to detect rooted device.

I do not know when that would be removed. I have always been running encrypted and certified on the play store on this rom and never had a problem with passing safety net until the latest update. I switched from Magisk stable to canary and the next morning there was an update that addressed the safety net issue.

Thats fine, @T1mb3 would be the best person to confirm this.

Hi all,

It looks like after each update, the SIM card used for data is reset to SIM1. Currently my SIM1 has no data plan whereas my SIM2 has an unlimited data plan. So SIM1 has data disabled and SIM2 has data enabled. After an update, it switches back to SIM1 data enabled and SIM2 data disabled.

Obfix would be to physically switch cards, but thought I'll mention it here anyway.

Thanks!

"No, no." what?
Could I know in detail what are the limitations of 18.1?
Because if there are these problems, for me it's not a rom to use in daily life.

thanks

1. SafetyNet is likely never going to pass on Lineage without help of Magisk. Other roms merge in the "hacks" or workarounds natively but LineageOS has stricter rules about this. As a user you can work around this if this is very important to you.
2. Wi-Fi display (chromecast/miracast) are known issue on multiple devices including cheeseburger/dumpling. I have not seen anyone suggesting this this works now. But as maintainer replied to you, it is still disabled.

If you depend heavily on chromecast/miracast, maybe this is not the correct rom for now. I don't think any other Android 11 rom has figured out the chromecast issue or else we would have seen relevant patches on LineageOS.

If chromecast does not affect you, this is very very stable rom. I came from stock ROM couple of weeks ago and this is definitely daily driver for me.

first of all thanks for the reply.

On my Los 17.1 on 5t the miracast works, and I often use it with my smarttv.

Honestly i'm looking for a stable rom and i've switched a few weeks ago from stock to lineage os 17.1... and became EOL a few days ago!

does the bootloader need to be locked again?

Next update fixes the call audio issue, where volume would be stuck at max.
If someone is interested in the fix: https://review.lineageos.org/c/LineageOS/android_device_oneplus_msm8998-common/+/309144.

I finally upgraded to 18.1 from LineageOS 16 and am very happy with it.
The only thing I can't find is how to turn off the capacitive buttons' backlight.
Can anyone enlighten me (pun intended)?
That option is not there in the current builds. I don't know if someone is working on it or not but there are work around it. Check out my earlier post and let us know if this fixes things.

Actual script that I have if this helps you more.

    Bash:
    #!/system/bin/sh

    echo 0 > /sys/class/leds/button-backlight/max_brightness

Hi, I am on the latest LOS 18.1 dumpling.

I would like to update the baseband and/or radio+modem component of the latest OnePlus 5T firmware contained in OnePlus5TOxygen_43_OTA_069_all_2010292144_76910d123e3940e5.zip

My device has the firmware from OnePlus5TOxygen_43_OTA_054_all_2002242025_81ae0ff9d1c34a3f.zip.

I cannot flash then entire OS (because I am unable to perform proper nandroid backup and restore in TWRP due to a bug in TWRP related to multiple users [work profile]), so need to do only the components radio+modem, using "fastboot flash".

I have extracted the folders" "firmware-update" and "RADIO" from the most recent version OS zip but want to check which files need to be flashed and to what blocks, IOW:

    "fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin"
    "fastboot flash bluetooth BTFM.bin"

    and

    "flashboot flash oem_stanvbk RADIO/static_nvbk.bin"

Are these 3 correct? And can I safely just flash those 2 to update the baseband? Or is something else required?
Why on earth will you not just follow the install instructions?

I can't verify the recorder issue; if I record audio and video with same distance and audio source volume, recording and video are about same volume.
    @T1mb3

    FYI:
To check the recorder issue, I did a clean flash of LOS 18.1 from scratch without installing MindTheGApps and I confirm that the sound recording is fine with stock Camera, but very low with stock Recorder.
I then installed MindTheGapps and recording and video are about same volume only if my default digital assistant is Google and if Hey Google is enabled.
I did this test on two OP5T.

It should be noted that I don't face the recorder issue on an OP3T and an OP6T (same volume with only LOS 18.1 ; same volume if default digital assistant = none with LOS 18.1 & MindTheGApps).

Thanks, among others, for the work on snap/api2!

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

    Code:

    * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
    * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
    * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
    * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
    * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
    */

Today after my cheeseburger was connected to the charger for hours and did not charge at all I discovered this message "Plugged in, can't charge at the moment":View attachment 5278115

I'm on 18.1 for a few days now. Never saw such a message before. I rebooted the phone whithout disconnecting the charger and now it Dash-charged nicely. That is why I think the cause of this strange behaviour is in the OS.
    Anyone else?

Same here. Happened three times since I'm on 18.1. In all three occurences I plugged in the charger directly after I had a usb audio dac connected while using the usb audio player pro app. I use this dac and app regularly and normally the phone charges fine afterwards, so not sure if there is any relation.

For the rest very happy with 18.1!
Issue was caused by CAF change in kernel a while back.
It should be fixed in next weekly.
