Up north...
08/13 GPS HAL stable.
Hi. Ok. A lot of newbee questions now.... (only flashed Windows Mobile before.... so...)

How do I fix that? Do I have to flash an older version and where to download or can I change the specific file using fileexplorer and where can I find that file? Or... are you going to post a new rom with the right hal inside?

Question 2: I installed Google Apps when I flashed this rom and I now only use Maps and mail. Is there any way to uninstall gapps without flash again? Then I can use googleplay to install those and save memory...

Question 3: I use a lot of apps that eat memory. Is there any app2sd that works on this device with cm11?

Thanx.

Dear Magseg,

Advise you to wait for a new update version that I think Szezso will launch.

Although I don't full well understand code in languages other than Java and HTML, it seems that NFC is soon going to be working as seen on this change in the CM source code.

Apparently NXP submitted the HAL needed for AOSP to work with the PN547 chip, and the change linked above aimed to merge the change into CyanogenMod.

A few developers on the Galaxy S5 (which BTW also has PN547) have already started building with this HAL, although I don't know if they had successful results.

Hoping for the best :D

Stock Galaxy S5 ROM has nfc_nci.msm8974.so(NFC HAL) in /system/lib/hw... so, they use NCI HAL implementation! Our devices(Express,Loganre and even Wilcox) does not use this type of implementation...we have nfc.msm8960.so in system/lib/hw...
I 've contacted a developer about NFC and here is his reply:

It's probably a firmware issue, I think it's not in our power to fix this.
So, 99% we will never have NFC on AOSP ROMS, but let's hope

Damn :(

A developer I'm watching started abandoning the NCI for the S5 (see commit) but later reverted that commit.

Still can't help but dwell on that 1% :-/

Flakey data / 4G data not working

At first everything looked fine but mobile data repeatedly jumps from 3g to h+ to 2g to no data at all. At no time 4g / lte connection is established. First also the wrong apn was chosen but I corrected that. No improvement after that. Used several wipes and reinstalled over my original rom (which is the mentioned dutch rom, I live in the Netherlands). Nothing seems to help so this is a no-go for me unfortunately...

Yes - first flashed 'I8730XWAMK1_I8730KPNAMK3_I8730XWAMK1_HOME.tar.md5', then did the CWM and then the 'cm-11-20140830-UNOFFICIAL-expressltexx.zip' Also did the wiping and stuff, just like described. The mentioned versions are correct, or not?
