I and @jek20 made a new release of CyanogenMod 11 ;) I updated the device, kernel and vendor tree with the most recent commits, so it is a fully updated CyanogenMod 11 release. Thanks @jek20 for compiling! The changelog consists of more than 80 commits, so it will not be available, sorry. Although you can check it, on my github on "cm-11.0" branch

* To downgrade from CyanogenMod 12, you need a full wipe

Hi, I like the overall speed of this ROM. Thanks.

I only have an annoying problem: when I clock the Home button to wake up the device it takes sometimes about 10 seconds or more (random length of time, it seems). If I click it twice it wakes up immediately.

Anyone else has this?

Hi there!

I have a couple of questions about this phone and this CM version. I was using a samsung galaxy GT-i9000 (with CM 10.2.1, official) before upgrading to a new GT-i8730 (with CM 11-20150706, unofficial), and I'm a bit surprised and disappointed too after seeing that this new phone with this ROM doesn't have the Back Light Notification if a phone call is lost or a message is received. Is that normal? There is even no option in the menu! In the other phone with CM 10.2.1 in settings/screen there was an option for that, but in this new there isn't any. I didn't test the phone with the stock ROM to check if that was working before flashing the terminal, I just went straight to CM, but now I'm a bit surprised. Is there any possibility to fix this?

I do have also another weird bug to report. Here is a screenshot:

As the arrow shows, the button is not properly displayed, looks like kind of divided. It works perfect, so this is just a minor issue (more important are the LEDs notifications), but if that would be possible to correct too, I would be very satisfied.

About the phone:

ROM: CM 11-20150706 / android 4.4.4 (downladed from the links provided in this post)
Kernel: 3.4.0-cyanogenmod-gfb9e52b
Baseband: I8730XWANE1 (last official one)
Gapps: opengapps arm-4.4-nano

CM11 vs. CM12/12.1...

Why you don't use CM 12.1 ?
Well, i am not him but..., i own several phones, all Samsung, with JB stock, CM11, KK stock, and LP stock..., i haven't tried yet no CM12 or CM12.1 (only for several minutes, for fun of flashing) but my experience with stock LP is much below the other, although this one it is several times better in terms of hardware than two of the other phones. Is not reliable and freezes with no reason, even when is not used...
Anyway, overall experience is far worst even than JB, and that on a good hardware!
So besides LP is very hard on accepting Xposed (wich is very important, at least for the name "geek"), KK is by far the most reliable Android to date.
I've tested the above configurations of OSes for several weeks just for experience and testing, and of course i plan to downgrade to KK, it is a Galaxy S4 i9505 and it is known to accept the downgrade, i've tested myself the downgrade just after i've bought it.
So, this is an answer for this question, wich i've also been asked few pages back on this thread

Did you flash recent CM 12.1 build? It's way more better than older builds ,many problems have fixed from CM Team .Now, they don't have differences on speed. Check it.

Hi,

I've tried that too, but although I'm following all the steps, with CM12 the loading screen never goes out (no idea why), while with CM11 everything goes quick and without any other complications in the installation of the rom.
