We learn from our mistakes. Please understand I am not preaching at you - but sharing what was told to me when I first came to these pages a while back - First and foremost Developers do this work on their own time. Most have jobs, families and lives of some kind. It comes off as rude when people expect or demand updates or keep asking for ETAs it's like they are assuming the developer owes them something - when in reality the developers are not really being paid to do this - this is not their job and we are not their boss - Doing a custom rom of any kind is a huge effort so best just to be grateful that we have a rom to flash in the first place and then be patient as the developer will be getting around to any necessary updates when they have time to do so.

Some developers bring updates foster than others - some have so many other roms with a variety of different phones they work on that it can take time to get around to them all - so patience is important.

Be kind, be respectful , show gratitude and good things will happen and we will have a better likelihood that the developer will stick around for a while.

You may not know this - but many developers have left XDA and started private forums to get away from those people who demand and don't show the respect they should. I am not saying you did any of this - just sharing so you and anyone else new here can learn.
Yes, now i understand, and yes i am very greatful for dr.ketan. Thank you

Might this work as well on the S9+(already rooted + recovery looking for a new ROM)?

Also is this TW or AOSP?

Thanks

Great to see you here Dr.K! Got my note 9 960F/DS and was curious if you can create your Canadian csc XAC once again for the note 9?
N9 have separated partition for csc so rom won't touch it and your existing Csc will remain as it is

#Dr. Ketan, I think you forgot to insert the file boot.img in the installation of the rom without magisk. I pass the detail but I have a bootloop that resembles that in the flash of the rom without magick that there is no when you install it with magisk.
I do not know too much Samsung but is it possible to flash the file "boot.img" with the command prompt fastboot? if so, I noticed that this file is not called boo.img but flash.img. Is that it?
If I forgotten that then all users straightway flashing rom from Stock, wont boot.
It's included.

It won't work on the N9

Hey there all getting my note 9 tomorrow.

Does anyone have some screen shots for this ROM.
Any help will be appreciated thanks in advance.
My rom will have only functional enhancement rather than visual so it will look like just stock.

Dear all users, if some of you don't know, I have already said I am on vacation and development will start after 10 days. I am away from home country and have no pc access, nor have any spared schedule for samel during the My holidays, still occasionally reading forum.
Also if you are new to my roms, usually I do acknowledge my users periodically about the progress on fix and update. So you don't need to bother about ETA, it will be there when possible. Till then enjoy!

Thank you I am very greatful for your work and I will wait patiently until you return from your vacation :) just one more question for now, this rom is mean to improve battery performance right? Because as we all know there is some sort of issue with the exynos 9810. I am very excited for the future of this rom overall, as before i flashed it performance was already lightning fast, more so than my note 8, so i can't wait to see what kind of improvements are coming, and I am sorry for asking before about updates, I didn't know that was considered rude, but now i know, anyways enjoy!

Ok so my friends convincing me ro root my note 9 as well.
It's hard to decide. The doctor's roms are always big improvement over the stock.
I have some bad experience with a needed for format data cause I couldn't install a new rom.
It was few times on note 8 and also when I've passed the note 8 to my mom. Tried to install the latest ketan rom and had no way to install cause couldn't use the internal drive. Ok so I've formatted it and gave up by giving her a stock.
On my note 9... Its 512gb. Get stuck with a need to format will be a big damage or I shouldn't use the internal drive...

Second thing to worry me is that I couldn't use my use my finger print to open applications.
My bank, my health insurance and other apps that were crushing or for example Cerberus didn't even offer me to use a finger print or other biometric option.

All the rest are less important even I wish the the secure folder could work as uou did a magic on the note 5...

I also have the 512GB Note 9 - no problems from start to finish. Followed what the OP stated. Have been using for 2 days, no problem with Finger sensor - no bootloops, the battery gives me 21hrs on full charge. I would like a few more mods and a full Power Menu but so far all is good.

same here. no lags that i could detect. but i did not choose to use the roms modded kernel. wonder if people having issues used that option.

im currently about to try and change csc from korean to a Canadian one.

i just saw that there is a firmware update for our base. might try and flash it after i try changing csc

edit:

sucessufly updated modem(cp) and bootloader(bl) to August patch.
also successfully changed csc to rogers manually.

couldint ask for more.

Just curious how you changed to the Canadian CSC? Which model do you have? I have the SM-N960F/DS and looking to add the Canadian csc also.
Is it built into the Dr. Rom? I still looking to root also
