Thanks evilpotatoman for putting this together. It came in very handy yesterday.

Only as a precautionary step just in case something goes wrong that I could return to stock if need to as in if I had to return for warranty or something like that
Or like myself and others who were on stock rooted MJ5 and the new update refused to install.

I'm Lost

I've followed step by step on how to go back to MJ5 ROM but for some reason it's not letting me use Heimdell Suite properly. It's not detecting my device and I have no clue what to do. It's actually very annoying. Never have I had this much trouble Rooting a phone.

Are all these steps necessary if you want to go back to ATT stock MJ5?
I just went to ATT device support center, they side load MJ5 to my phone in 15 mins, dude didn't even look the Knox count and Pad Lock Custom logo, the only thing he said was "everything on the phone will be lost, is that ok"?

If we had the official MJ5 then we could then do as ATT device support center,

I see people saying that they have restored from the kitkat release. Is it from the officalish kitkat release? From D-gears If so how do you get the recovery inplace with out having root? I've done this method before I have all the files but I'm scared to do it with out having safestrap recovery. When I used this iv3 always had SS installed.. thanks guys I work with to many damn phones all day to keep track of what's what lol

I'm in need of some help. I tried to install Knoxraid kitkat through safetrap and something went wrong and wouldn't boot past the Samsung logo. I am trying to restore back to MJ5 and when I get to step 3 I keep receiving an error that nand write failed and on the phone screen it shows unsupport dev_type in download mode. I have tried in both windows 8 and 7. Is there anything that can be done or is it a lost cause.

Looks like you forgot to install the kitkat files in the to boot folder.

You getting this error , or you sure you're doing every thing correct. The op instructions or very easy
